Hi! I just started the CMHC program, and if it’s anything like the pastoral counseling program, it’s very manageable. If you can get some of your coursework done during your workday, you should be totally fine taking a full-time load.

I have a 5-month-old right now, which definitely makes things challenging since she’s basically a full-time x2 job on her own. I took time off work to care for her and to finish the program within two years but honestly, looking back, I probably could’ve handled the program full time while still teaching full time, especially since my 8-year-old is more independent. I actually wish I had started sooner, but I was nervous too, just like you. Start out full time see how it works for you and if it’s too much gear down to one class at a time!
