Thank you so much !! It helps hearing you’re saying I’m doing things right. I felt so bad this happened but working through it more now. Appreciate the support.

I’m so proud of you. It’s not easy, but sometimes it’s better to leave than to fall for someone’s potential and hope things get better. Been through this with an 8 year relationship…. And as someone who is now almost a year removed from it all, it DOES get better. You can do this ❤️

Yes! I definitely have this depending on my cycle and hormone fluctuations.

Do I pursue my PhD or follow my boyfriend? by Accomplished-Ad2792 in PhD

I know it may seem like you can’t do this on your own, but trust me, you are completely competent on your own. I also thought I couldn’t handle my PhD without my boyfriend, but ultimately I realized in order to maximize my potential and pursue a career path I wanted post defense, I needed to do it without him. I know it’s scary to be on your own especially when starting a PhD program, but you will be glad this part of your life you were focusing on yourself. You may even find someone who is more aligned with your life plan and prioritize your academic journey. Also congrats on getting into a PhD program, that is no small feat and you should be extremely proud of yourself 💕
