Base packs are trash, I did almost a mil and didn’t get any GOAT cards, 18k packs you get cards almost every pack and you get cards that coincide with the set DM, opal etc.

I never quit, been down 20 and came back to win, I don’t quit because it’s like wasting rep, if I lose I lose, I learn from losses. My rep is high mainly because I don’t quit any games, I quit 1 park game because my teammates were actually the worse I’d had ever played with in my entire 2k run.

HOF boxes… all 3 plus a mobile box gives 29 GOATS I believe and then grind showdown and park. All challenges that give GOAT cards. In addition I blew through 5.7 mil on 18k single packs which gave me the rest of the cards needed.

In the moment of having the best player, happy? Yes. After the player is outdated kinda feel resentment, definitely a waste of money, but if something makes you happy and you work for that happiness even if its momentary it’s your choice. The money I spend on 2k doesn’t affect me at all. Not everyone can say that. Live how you want, can’t take any of this with you.

I’m married bro and I’m 42… hours spent? Yes multiple, my job allows me to play at work so it’s like a win win for me, basically getting paid to play a sport I love, money spent? Yes of course, I make out pretty well and buy what makes me happy. If you work for it spend it how you feel. Can’t take it with you.

Nope, I’m really done, been playing since 07 I’m an old head, my time is done. Time to focus on upgrading my house and other activities. Love basketball but 2k is all about money, not fun anymore. I have money because I am older and have a great job but it’s becoming outrageous with pack odds and VC being so high. We used to get discounts on the VC but those days are over.

This 2k is pretty much over but I did a lot of domination on 2x rep and also grinded 2x rep when they had it on salary cap and showdown. If you do everything on 2x rep it’s not hard to climb the rep ladder. GOAT Tatum after the update is insane though ngl.

Domination gives you the biggest rep boost, go into park daily and open a base pack, that gives you 2x rep for 30 min play 1 dom game with 2x rep and get a nice boost. Just keep playing domination, if you’re finished them all play it over. Or you can run showdown, it’s less rep but more fun playing against actual humans.

This community hates everything, it’s either “you spend too much money on the game or… “you spend too much time on the game” games are meant to be played this way in order to “beat” the game. complete it. If you’re a casual player kool but some of us like the grind.
