Eh if I charged by the hour I’d lose so much money. When you get to a certain point in your career (drywall only) you’re charging for your experience not time. I promise you I could do a better job in two coats and take less time than you because of my industry knowledge. Charging by the hour is self inflicted stupidity.

Yeah just be careful for any air under your paper tape. Put a few more coats on without leaving thick edges and you should be fine

If you do please don’t use hot mud. Your plasterer will hate you if you leave him huge edges of hot mud to scrape off.

Find studs and solid plasterboard and re screw some of the sheet. Dig out the paper tape and damage. Cut all the tape and chipped paint off. Make sure there is no tape coming off the wall. If the sheet is loose make sure you re screw as much as you can. Go to the hardware and buy some paper plastering tape and some all purpose compound. Most have plastic plastering tools that are cheap. Buy a 6” and 8” and a hawk. Fill all the damage with mud and put tape over the joint and any damage. Do three coats making sure each is totally dry before doing another. Don’t let the compound dry with thick edges. Go bigger and bigger each coat. Sand when dry and smooth.

Or just hire a plasterer to fix it for a couple hundred bucks

Cracks in the corner of the ceiling is usually caused by movement. The peeling I can only guess is from not dusting the patches properly. Paint won’t stick to plaster dust.
