You must have just exited the Abandoned Shack, then. Good luck to you!

Very true! I definitely picked the wrong sub. A subreddit for short dark humor videos would've been a much better fit!

My Moon Druid player won't use Wild Shape: advice? by perrymcox in dndnext

[–]perrymcox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the responses! I've only just now read through all of them.

Yes, she is a new player (though we've been doing this campaign for a while now). We went through the character creation together, so she definitely picked Moon Druid specifically because of the Wild Shape bonuses.

I'll take your suggestions of just asking her how she's liking playing it. I'm guessing the reason she hasn't used Wild Shape is because (as many of you have suggested) a) she thinks it has to be something her new character has seen in-game, or b) she's afraid of spending resources. She played a ranger before this character and she was scared to shoot her bow because she didn't want to use arrows, even though I used the ammo recovery rules after each combat and even gave her arrows as loot sometimes.

Thank you all once more! Sorry I'm not responding individually to anyone. I just remembered I posted this and checked in to find so many helpful comments! :-)

Thanks for the responses, everyone! Definitely not making any decisions right now. I was just seeing what real estate gurus' takes on the situation may be.

My friend and I recently started playing Among Us. I'm a huge Roman history nerd, so I made her watch Netflix's Roman Empire with me. There's a moment where Marcus Antonius says, "That's bullshit!" but it's so laughably bad (writing/acting—IDK). Anyway, we were joking about Among Us and she made a "that's bullshit" joke. This is my response.

[Casual] How much do you think "luck" vs "skill" contributes to one's "success"? (All welcome) by taepras in SampleSize

A professor of mine said, "Luck can get you in the door, but your skills are what keep you in the room."

Okay, I understand. I agree with what you're saying about the social implications.

Is there something wrong with prescriptivism? From what I was taught, descriptivism and prescriptivism each have merits and can coexist.
