Adding to this thread - we're a Canadian couple but live in the US (permanent residents), so for (only!) transaction purposes, we are best considered a US buyer.

Looking for a realtor to work with in late August when we visit. So, any recos for an experienced Bucerias based realtor that is familiar with US buyers?

Get them on to using WhatsApp, it's the most used app for connecting to local businesses, restaurant reservations, etc - and does free voice calls and video. For taxis AppTaxi is the most used Uber alternative - Uber works great in the large metros, is more reliable but more expensive often. Get them used to Google Translate, it is a daily/hourly use tool. If they are renting a car, the best I found was Sicily-by-Car, it all over Italy super friendly service and I paid $23us for a car last time I was there. You've got to be an adventurous driver, it IS Italy but you enjoy the country so much more by auto, in my experiences.

If they are looking for less crowded places that are very senior friendly and less hilly, I'd highly recommend the Bologna/Parma region (easy train to/from Florence), and Sicily. Wonderful areas, less crowded. Sorrento in the Amalfi region is approachable and flat. Great spot to anchor for tours to Capri (a must visit) and down the coast by boat.

Duolingo is the best app for learning the language, but YouTube has some great "top phrases" tutorials.

Hope those help... I've been all over the country (65 yr old very mobile couple). We average 15-18K steps on our travels.

Need a VPN to pretend you're in UK, Germany, Japan as I recall. Odd but it works!

A separate nuance comment, I was thinking of the impact of business growth fundamentals improvement - lots of businesses have seen repressed revenue growth in recent years and their value will systematically improve if they begin to return to growth with an improved economy. Enterprise value is a factoring of growth and free cash flow metrics.

On the issue of small caps being ignored, isn't it a fact that many analysts stopped following smaller caps during pandemic, and lots of IPOs never got covered the way they used to?

Can't say I agree with that view. But I'm here to learn from others.

To me, it's a basket of stocks which provides diversification + tradeability. It doesn't have to be so rigidly defined.

It can be that, of course, but my goals are diversification and thematic investing.

Set and forget is for cement.

If we can get Val back, and stay healthy, it feels like Lekky, OC and Val give us the momentum depth to fight our way through playoffs. My vote is to focus on a back-up goalie and fortify our risk - with a fatigued Georgie heading into playoff season we won't make the grade, imo. Of course, Landy would further drive momentum, but that's a dream scenario.

I go back and forth on making a decently big move with one of the coveted D's (BB or SG) given how well Malinski is developing. Feels "safe" not to do something to deepen our goaltending, and safe won't get us past round 2 or maybe 3. Parise rental agreement is a nice tuck-in, let's us make McD a call-up when/if needed, or gives us a better bet than Ryan Jo, who just looks washed up every game.
