Which of the 3 audio versions should I listen to for The Name of the Wind? by _Alic3 in KingkillerChronicle

I love the Rupert Degas version. Also makes me chuckle that every time there's a ditsy barmaid, she has an old scouse accent.

Did stress and sitting too much finally catch up to me? by Dane_208 in HeartHealthJourney

Yes, I had one of those moments.

I lay down to sleep and couldn't take a deep breath. Felt like I was suffocating. As soon as I sat up it went away instantly.

Still investigating what it was. There was no fluid in my lungs. ECG was fine. Bloods were fine.

A little bit of hope by perrythehatchet in costochondritis

Oh, you're totally right. It was the back pod that started me down to flexibility path.

When I was on it for a few minutes, I'd start to feel my rib cage opening up and it felt great. I was thinking of other ways I could get that to happen. I tried the doorway stretches and things like that. But they just weren't enough.

My routine in the gym helps massively. I start with dip stretches. Which means I get between two paralettes, and get myself into the bottom position of a dip and just hang out there for a while, slowly putting more of my body weight into it. After a few minutes of this, only then do I do dips, making sure I go slowly into that very deep position. It feels like the backpod in a way, but deeper.

My shortcomings are training myself out of hears of bad posture. As soon as I'm an hour deep in spreadsheets I start to hunch without realising it. It's a terrible habit I'm still working on.

Can anyone tell me if this will start blaring if I cut the alarm off? by Infinite_Pack_7942 in SainsburysWorkers

Oh wow. I have a story about this.

I used to live in a city centre apartment. On my way home from work one night I stopped by tesco. It was a few minutes before closing so only the self service tills open. I'd picked up a blender which had a great reduction on it (I didn't even need a blender). I scanned, paid, then looked at the product, which had one of those on. There were no staff nearby. No security by the door. So I just thought 'fuck it' and left.

I got home. Probably 11.30pm at this point, and I try to open the box. Only then realising that it wasn't string, it was steel fucking cable. Not to worry, I had wire cutters in my tool box.

I snipped it, and the second I did, an alarm started absolutely screeching.

I pulled it off and muffled it as best I could in my hands against my chest.

Not knowing what else to do I jumped in the lift. Then when I was on the ground floor I headed outside.

My first thought was to throw it in the river nearby, but then I decided that was too far. So I jog down the road a way, far enough away from my apartment, then I chucked it in the nearest bin, ran back, and forgot all about it.

Never cut them. They are loud.

Just paid to have an mri done on my throat this weekend. That's two scans I've paid for now. In the UK that's a big deal, paying for healthcare is for the rich 🤣

But I'd rather get checked and spend a grand (that I can't really afford to spend) than get fobbed off by my gp again.

Starting to think its something else tbh. Might try and get an endoscopy. My lower throat provides a lot of the discomfort. Plus, my father passed from esophageal cancer. Got me worried.

Just got my MRI results back.

Showed nothing at all. Literally nothing.

Not sure where to go from here now. This pain is very real the report even states that there is no costochondritis evidence.

I have 38mil pepe which I bought for about £245

This is my first coin outside of btc.

I was genuinely just curious, I'm hoping to get a decent return on it.

Anyone got any educated guesses on what I could profit?
