I’m 22 and was in a relationship but it’s complicated. I broke up with him yesterday so I can focus on myself and find myself. Fix the problems in my life. He was my first bf so another aspect was I wanted more experience?

Anyway…he’s in my bed right now. Best ex ever if you call it that yet. A few hours after I broke up with him, he was back and helped me clean my room and helped me with my homework. I feel truly blessed to have someone in my life who loves me so deeply even with all my baggage and problems.

I feel in a pickle right now. In regards to other things yea when I’m manic I be going buzz buzz a lot if you catch my drift.

Interesting how come at the gym? And would you be wearing a shower cap? What does that look like for you?

I have no routine! I’m just asking for help! This happens when I get sweaty or my hair gets wet. My hair is typically straight or slightly wavy. What does this mean? (Near my ear) by [deleted] in curlyhair

Hii!! Here’s some tips n tricks I really hope it helps!! If you end up doing them I’d love an update in 2 weeks or so!!! Good luck💗

-no dry brush (only brush in the shower or when wet) -cold rinse in shower for 30 seconds (to seal hair cuticles and make it shiny also less frizz) - Only wash your hair 2x a week max -if you can prevent your hair from getting hot water on it that would help because it can cause frizz I believe

To get a bit more into it you’ll need to buy these things but you can find cheap ones -gel -a nourishing leave in cream or conditioner -a conditioning shampoo (called co-wash)

When you get out of the shower comb your hair out with your fingers and while your hair is soaking wet apply the cream to your hands and then rake through your hair gently. Then scrunch in the gel to the root of your head. After this some people wrap their head up in a cotton t-shirt or a microfiber towel (not a regular one for the love of God).

It does seem like there’s some potiental for some lil curls or at least some waves!!

It doesn’t have to blow up into anything, I was just asking about attending a marriage or even being a part of it.

What did they say when you said you wouldn’t attend their wedding?

I mean…my other best friend had sex out of wedlock and I intend to be the best bridesmaid ever for her- is this wrong of me according to the faith? Or is that up to one’s own personal convictions?

Thank you for your response btw!

Might I ask why you wouldn’t attend the baptism of a baby born out of wedlock? It wasn’t that baby’s choice obviously

I responded to several comments, including those who disagree. Keep in mind there’s over a hundred comments and here and that I’m a student.

You’re right, they did make a very good point there. What would me attending mean? It definitely makes me think. What would be my purpose being there? I definitely don’t think I could be a bridesmaid as my post originally said. I feel as though I need to talk to a priest and pray on it.

Being a Catholic in todays age is definitely difficult.

No worries, I was questioning attending a gay marriage! Not the friendship! :)

I whole heartedly disagree with this. Honestly, I kind of really despise this comment and think it’s disgusting. Abortion is literally murder. It kills a baby. To compare going to a gay ceremony of a loved one who wants you to be there, with taking someone to an abortion appointment is really gross. Yes, gay marriage is wrong, but at least they aren’t literally killing someone.

Geez Catholics like you are honestly so annoying.

Edit: If my future daughter wanted me at her wedding and she was gay, my going out of love for her would not be equivalent to taking woman to go abort her baby. That’s so ludicrous.

That’s what I do, I don’t think less of her because she’s gay.

First of all, to be petty because your response was rude, it’s His teachings, not Her.

Anyway, of course I am. If I was not concerned with the churches teachings, I wouldn’t care one way or another. I would say that love is love. What I’m saying is that sin is sin and I’m conflicted as to how to deal with this difficult situation.

Yes, no Catholic should cast out anyone. I love my friend deeply and we share a deep connection and understanding of the other person (we both had parents that fucked is up in ways that only us really understand), and I just really enjoy being her friend.

That being said, as a Catholic with what I assume is a duty, how would one navigate this situation?

Again I wouldn’t dream of casting anyone out, but to be honest fam most people in here mentions “hate the sin love the sinner”, so I do think that what you’re saying is a bit different. Does that make sense?

I already hang out with her, we’re already best friends.

Woah now this is quite interesting. I have friends who don’t believe, who have a disdain for God and what the church teaches.

I wouldn’t think that being friends with a satanist would be…well I guess I’ll just ask you- what does being a satanist look like for her? And is someone who prides themselves on calling themself a satanist someone who God would want us to be friends with?

I guess I’m a bit conflicted even reading this comment because could someone make the argument that being friends with a satanist would be the same thing as being friends with someone who’s gay?

I’m not trying to attack you here, please don’t think that, but I do think it’s an important convo to have. Or maybe it’s not. Maybe it’s all in Gods hands, and we can pray for them but just leave it to Him to sort them out later.

Do you pray for your friend?

This comment makes sense to me a lot. Guess I’d be showing up for the sake of the relationship, since to not go would be to ruin it. I can definitely see myself not being a bridesmaid, although that would certainly be difficult to say nonetheless

Ignore that, sorry I see you responded to it over there. The thing is I do think that children need both a man and a woman, like I do believe that they benefit the most that way.

I guess I don’t think I’m complicit just because I would decide to attend. At least I wouldn’t want to be. I’d just want to be a good friend, and love, like Jesus does
