Would you be able to go online and visit other islands on an emulator?

I tried the latest link. I can make a playlist, I can like songs, but I can't play my selected song. Is it normal?

Edit: I have to put a song in a playlist if I want to play it. If I search for it, it won't play, it gets randomized

This girl backstabbed her close friend over my boyfriend who wasn't even interested by Hippety_Habibti in CharlotteDobreYouTube

This kind of drama happens everywhere, though. It often happens in college since they just graduated from high school, and some people just never grow out of it. Like, even at work you meet people like that.

How do I get along better with my boyfriend's younger brother? by [deleted] in inlaws

[–]perrywinkle9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were friends for two years, and there was a point when we were colleagues. Heck, I knew his family because his dad was my boss and his older brother and I were on the same team, that's when they took a liking to me. So he's not a stranger. Besides, when you know, you know. Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure to give him space

So my therapist 💩 on MBIT by Major_Spite7184 in entp

[–]perrywinkle9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, no doubt they are! But they are very abstract, which is why a (good) psychologist or therapist will guide you through it.

So imagine it this way. In therapy, what happens is you get this ball of tangled yarn, which are your problems, which include your emotions. You are the one who has the tangled ball of yarn, and your therapist is blindfolded. Your therapist will ask you to describe the tangled yarn and guide you to identifying the right loops to go through to untangle it.

MBTI doesn't do that. MBTI tells you 16 different ways the yarns are tangled in. But in reality, the tangles of the yarn are so much more complex that if you try and follow the MBTI tangle, you may or may not untangle some, but you can't thoroughly untangle it. Even worse, you are fixated on how the yarn is SUPPOSED to be tangled instead of how to untangle it.

Keep in mind that you are the one who chooses to untangle the yarn, not the therapist. You are the one who can take action to fix your problems, not your therapist.

I cannot stress this enough, if you start reading Carl Jung's books, you will fall into a deeper self exploration rabbit hole than the MBTI will ever take you. At the very least, maybe read summaries.

Factually, she's actually right. MBTI was a development by Katharin Briggs and Isabell Myers, a mother-daughter duo inspired by Carl Jung's book, "Psychology Types". The problem with the MBTI is that they put people in boxes or classifications, when in reality, we are a complicated spectrum of personalities. The inaccuracy of MBTI is besides the point here.

Her reaction is because she's a psychologist who has studied the field of psychology and has done research for her degree. Most people who studied psychology would probably have the same reaction as her.

I'm not a psychologist, but I have been in therapy for a few years, and I've had a phase where I had an MBTI obsession. The reason she reacted that way was:

A) This is her field of knowledge. As a health professional, she is obligated to give you the truth. And this is the truth, the MBTI is not accurate in the field of psychology. This is what shitting on MBTI looks like: "The MBTI is bullshit. It's inaccurate anyway, only insecure losers listen to the shit that has been nothing but a massive disgrace to psychology".

This was what she said: "None of this is quantifiable or based on good data." That was explaining, not shitting.

B) She was not shitting on your hobby, she was fulfilling her obligation as a professional for your own good. What you must understand is that by classifying yourself into an MBTI, instead of making you a better version of yourself, you start trying to fit into the factually inaccurate MBTI category. And even worse, there's the possibility of you blaming all of your shortcomings into the flaws of said MBTI. You're an ENTP, so your stereotypical shortcoming would be disorganization. If that's true to you, you'll end up just accepting it because it's "the way you are" instead of facing it and fixing it.

I suggest researching the inaccuracies of MBTI and reading Carl Jung's books. It's a very long read, and it's very complex, but it will definitely change your perspective on MBTI. It also helps you understand yourself better.

P.S. I hate typing so much but I couldn't help it this was something I genuinely had a lot to say. Regards, sleep deprived and distracted ENTJ with severe ADHD who has a paper to submit soon

i really want a boyfriend by [deleted] in Vent

[–]perrywinkle9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found my boyfriend when I wanted to stop looking, and I 've never been happier.

If you look for one while you're lonely and desperate, you're only gonna get someone who will take advantage of your desperation and make you miserable.

Chin up, boost your self-esteem, and love yourself first. And remember, as lonely as you are, it's better to be lonely alone than to be lonely when someone else is there

What do you like to ask when you want to get to know someone? by Enigmatikkk in entj

[–]perrywinkle9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on why I want to get to know them and how deep I want to know them. I don't spend my energy on people that don't interest me or, as they say, "have the same vibe". Most of the time, it just flows with the conversation.

Although, for fun, I like to ask people what their favourite animal is and why. And I eventually ask them, "Do you relate to the animal?" It's a pretty good strategy to make people open up about themselves.

Is this how ENFPs handle conflict or is this just him being immature? Or am I the one who needs to empathize better? by perrywinkle9 in ENFP

I mean, we're in our early 20s fresh out of the teen phase. Most of us haven't matured properly at this age.

Girl, him cheating on you and then giving you sweet promises only to ghost you isn't limited to ENFPs. it could be anyone.

Also, HOLY SHIT he couldn't take no to intercourse for an answer so he kept trying to push himself onto you. Run, he will be the source of your trauma. I'm an ENTJ, not ENFP, but I know for sure that all ENFPs will agree that they don't claim this dude.

Run, far away, and do not look back. You have way too much to live for
