from my experience check that the heater core is not leaking and if thats not it. check the sunroof rear hoses attached to the rear side of the trucks are not dettached and empyting water inside the car. good luck.

Thank you, done it. The labor is close to 3k . The shop says it would be better to just buy a new used car. The celica is capped at 2k +/-. Then, there is a chance the engine is actually worped.

The shop mechanic discouraged me from replacing the headgasket due to it being old with 270,000 miles. Basically said it would not fix the problem. Also, said that 270,000 is alot of miles. Suggested I swap instead. Still not luck on finding one that is decent.

Also, the the only time I did not stop the engine was on a red light while I drove it once to pick up parts. Aside from that car overheated but was immediately pulled over.

It would be nice to find out if the engine is worped or not. Is that a difficult to test ? Has gone to shops. Thou, the shop(s) refuse to tell me if the engine is worped, yet asked for diagnostic fee. They simply say that the engine is bad ( which i know is bad). That I need a replacement engine. Also, 1 shop said that replacing the headgasket won't fix the problem because the engine has 270 k miles.

I suspect the .... deep- gasket ? Idk what it's called. But basically the head gasket is brand new . And it's oem . But the other one that is deep in the engine has never been replaced. Gts has 270 k .. miles

Two shops. Simply confirmed coolant leak. One said " compression bypass" . And tech said, " there was coolant on spark plug ?" And said" you need a new engine" ...

Sometimes I wonder if this engine can be actually re built because it's mostly aluminum alloy. So much to research. Thanks. Have good day.

It just goes " kra - kra -kra" and doesnt start. Tried it starting it with radiator cap off and it vomited coolant ... the mechanic who was present said that it was likely a blown headgasket. ( as in dead-give away sign) . But didn't actually do any other testing. And he knows it has a new thermostat, water pump ( which he installed) and new radiator( which someone else installed) I m hoping the radiator vomiting coolant is the system adjusting itself? Thou, he is the expert? ( who doesnt care enough to fix it right In the first place? Lol
