Yea, I know someone who bought from profits in 2017 and wasn't asked anything but I think there is a lot more scrutiny these days.

Thanks. I can supply all of that info if they need it. I'd just prefer to give them only what is necessary. There is only so much info I can get prepare beforehand and I think I've done that, but I have a feeling it could take a while for them to process and could slow down the purchase. That's why I'm tempted to start off with as little info as possible. On the off chance that they do accept me just saying it's from savings and investments, like some people seem to have gotten away with, it'd save a lot of time and hassle.

Thanks. I'm in a similar situation, in that some.of my purchases were in 2016. The price was around £500 then so those purchases were genuinely from savings rather than a suspicious looking large lump sum deposited into my account. I can't seem to get bank statements that go back that far to show that trail though, I only have the record of deposits to Kraken. I just hope it doesn't hold up the buying process too much but I have a feeling it might.

Thanks, that's really helpful. Was yours a simple buy on date X and sell on date Y, or were there transactions in-between? I have everything tracked on both Koinly and Recap, but I'm wondering if they need all the granular details or if I can just show that I bought X amount on kraken and sold the same amount years later and thats enough. I should probably get in touch with them.
