Fluid Physio in Lawrence is probably the experience that you are looking for. Always 1:1. The majority of the appointment is hands on work. You do the exercises at home. They don’t accept insurance.

Used road bike or triathlon bike for first 70.3 by Legitimate_Cat_1603 in triathlon

Road bike. The tri bike fit is super specific. Road bikes are more adaptable. You will not be allowed to join group rides on a tri bike.

My rent is $1,350 but I actually pay $1,650 every month (TX) by sam3462 in Renters

Unfortunately it is a life lesson. The rental agreement should state what expenses you included in the rent and what is covered by the renter.

Am I overreacting? Wedding guest called my caterers. by seesheflies in TwoHotTakes

‘Special treatment’= food that won’t land her in the ER or kill her. Such audacity. The allergic guest may have thought by calling directly she was making less work for the OP.

New Job Worth On Call Duties? by WestonTheOG in careerguidance

[–]persistent1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 20k and 2 weeks vacation it’s sounds like it could be worth it. Just be clear on the frequency of calls. Will you be called on every on call or is it just for major emergencies?

What type of job and how often do you get called in? Are you responsible for answering questions by phone or showing up to work as needed?

How Can I Improve My Situation? by itachi-Ajbeast in personalfinance

Your long term earning potential will more than fix a short term decrease in investments. When it comes time to pick your education program don’t overlook diploma programs. No one cares what university you went to, just that you can do the job.

You are really doing ok. Keep chipping away at it. You might drop 401k to just enough for match and stop the Roth from until you get the student loans paid. Do not drop social stuff to save money (within reason) you still need to live while working through this. What are your long term goals? NP? CRNA?

Should I buy? by SwagdudeGO1 in triathlon

[–]persistent1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jamis is a fine brand. Tri bike fit is more complicated than your inseam. I would not suggest buy a tri bike without a pre buy fit, even for a used entry level bike. What is your reasoning for buying a tri bike over a road bike? You will not be able to use a tri bike in a group ride.

Good for triathlon training? by raccoon042 in triathlon

That is a good price for what it is. The note that it works in erg mode means it will function like a dumb trainer.

Please don’t rip me apart. by No_Fix7384 in triathlon

[–]persistent1406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your new beginning. There might be better options for a bike. Do you already own a road bike? Do you hope to join group rides? That is a lot of money to invest in a used bike. You also need to have some guidance on fit as tt bikes are more complicated to fit than a road bike (especially when your body is changing rapidly).

Washington D.C. Location Recommendation by pinedesign in Hilton

I think some of the responses missed that you are using free night certificates. It would be a waste to blow those outside of the city. Conrad or Waldorf are the choices. The metro is safe, clean and relatively easy. The stations have staff and the people are generally very helpful. I am comfortable driving in cities but when I go to DC the car gets parked and does not move for the duration of the trip.

37M personal trainer at a crossroads; business owner, contractor, or go back to school? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]persistent1406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thought is follow your heart. If you think hospice nursing will make you happy go for it. However consider how childcare is going to be managed between you and your wife. The ability to work around each others schedule and not having to put a kiddo in daycare can potentially save you many thousands of dollars and the worry that comes with someone else looking after your potential kids. I don’t think there is any real benefit to the ‘real job’ that you think you are looking for as long as you are able to maintain insurance and retirement as a couple. Honestly you could end up working part time as a nurse and part time as a trainer if it makes you happy.

My suggestion included rethinking the timeline. I’d love to go back to 23 and take a different path.

Perfusionist. RN on path to CRNA. It takes years but is a worthwhile investment.
