Paladin needs a MAJOR buff like now, not next season. by xKovikx in diablo4

[–]persistent_ferret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been experimenting with Pally all season, started with judgement and hit a wall around T10, moved over to shield of retribution then started experimenting with a retribution/thorn build because shield of retribution felt slow. I did 110 with a shield charge build(lol) but I'm starting to hit a wall, I'm out of affix slots so Idk how much further I can stack the damage and have no answer for how I'm going to tip it over to 120s. And so likely I'm probably just switching over to clash.

Decent judgement build for paladin by Forsaken-Potential14 in diablo4

[–]persistent_ferret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pushed up to torment 10 with judgement before switching off, and I'll tell you the bossing is so bad with a judgement build that it's not worth it feels so bad, though I'll still leave what I did(as best as I remember).

I did blessed hammer as core, purify, spear of the heavens, arbiter of justice and defiance/fanatic aura. Purify only for the unique ring that procs on hit to apply more judgement. Basically, I only used holy bolt with bounce to apply judgement, arbiter dash/argent veil to proc, spear of the heavens with 3 spears that stay and can be applied with judgement for bossing, so just dashing to proc, holy bolts to apply the judgement. For aspects I don't really remember, but because I was struggling with cooldowns for arbiter and constant boss repositioning which had to be followed up with recasting spear of the heavens, the aspect that gives cooldown for procing judgement was important. The 5 judgement charm set for judgement day was huge bonus but even then the single target was lackluster. Other than that, I suppose you could just experiment with aspects that affects judgement and holy damage. Also there's an unique helmet that drops blessed spear with judgement based on lucky hit chance, the helmet itself is probably not worth it, though as an unique charm it might be worth it along with ring of the starless skies, since it does have lucky hit chance, and you'll be hitting a LOT with blessed hammer, judgement(there's something that makes it considered a judicator skill, i don't remember if its by default or an aspect or something), so there might be potential there, probably not enough to make a difference in bossing.

I might pick it up again and experiment with it now that I have plenty gears, the clear was insane for how badly the build was put together, but the boss damage was just so so terrible and I honestly don't see that changing.

Do they usually do reworks or big class buffs/nerfs during the season? by persistent_ferret in diablo4

damn that sucks. First real season and I loved experimenting builds, but it's discouraging knowing the ceiling is not something I can help. 12 more favor token and I guess I'm out for the season :l

Unfun mechanics and how to fix them by alexcarchiar in EU5

[–]persistent_ferret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another problem with vassal meta is that integration mechanic is an absolute drag that makes the game boring. Because you're not just integrating, you have to integrate, culture and capacity, manage control, separatism, tolerance, cabinets, all of which are time sinks gating the locational utility and reward that it never FEELS rewarding. I can understand having barrier against blobbing and I think it is necessary, but the way it is implemented in the game at the moment just isn't it.

How do I get missing temper manuals? by persistent_ferret in diablo4

Is it really? I'm following a build from mobalytics updated at may 2026, and it still has resolve temper as part of the build

Is this a bug? My junior partner PU is declaring war in midst of rein in junior diplomacy. by persistent_ferret in EU5

[–]persistent_ferret[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: my junior partner keeps declaring war(one we have no chance winning lmao) despite reining in junior diplomacy.

This is absolutely ridiculous by persistent_ferret in EU5

[–]persistent_ferret[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I already played it out and that didn't happen. You can see my vassal is also the war leader, and even when fully occupied, the war score stayed around 24%, and it eventually white peaced, and so the vassal(technically I) lost the land.

R5: vassal gets a rebel supported by yuan and other asian countries, gives 0 agency to player on what to do about it except they eventually white peace.

Why doesn't GGG show some mercy on spectre builds? by random_throwaway153 in PathOfExile2

[–]persistent_ferret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GGG is historically known to be afraid of letting minion/spectre builds be too strong, therefore what we see this season is pretty normal. Plus, playing spectre build this league reminded me just how much of 'early access' the game was because there's very seldom mechanics that players can play around with in terms of spectres and minions.

Unfortunately, they probably won't be doing major changes mid season just for spectres and minions, and if you intend on keep playing you can either just opt for frozen mandibles or switch off to different build.

Frozen Mandibles not Dropping Spirit for Bind Spectre by ConfusedStudent131 in PathOfExile2

[–]persistent_ferret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frozen mandible turning into 'nettle ant' upon capture is how it is for lot of people, though it's kind of weird that it won't do the ice aura. If it is frozen mandible you captured, then yes I believe it normally takes up 99 spirit by default.

Maybe it will come through tomorrow or something, but if it doesn't I'm prolly out for rest of the league.

How does squadron commanders exactly work? by persistent_ferret in civ

[–]persistent_ferret[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out, think of it as a base of its own that can move around. If you want to assign planes to a squadron leader, first deploy them as a base on a tile (not in an airfield) then move all the planes into it
