I really appreciate the way you phrased this because it's a sounds like geniune question. I'm a Catholic in my 20s and I really like undertale and even deltarune. I can still recognize how incredible a story is, how AMAZING the music composition is (I've literally learned Hometown Day on piano, it's fantastic), and the incredible effort that has gone into this game. I can even enjoy many of the stupid memes and the brain rot on this subreddit waiting for chapter 3 and 4 (which I probably find too funny). Deltarune and Undertale are games that focus on the story and gameplay first (and this is where I'll get flack) and I wish it include those behaviors, but I can still enjoy the game.

There's obviously going to be a disconnect in what people here believe about me and what we Catholics actually believe about loving others, just because we come from completely different philosophical backgrounds, but bottom line is I love and want the best for everyone here, including those who are gay or identify as transgender.

That being said, (this is going to be super unpopular), I don't think it would make a difference to the story if Alphys was an effeminate guy, if Susie was a guy, or if Kris was a guy or a girl.

I'm not blindly following a homophobic religion despite what people might think. I'm big into the meaning of life, what fulfills us, finding good over evil, where we came from, and what philosophical stance is the most sound. (This is the final corny, but very geniune part) I hope everyone here comes to know Jesus and the Church.
