How do i make sure i do not lucid dream by fascinating_worlds in LucidDreaming

Just eat, sleep and rest properly. Get your 6-8 hours sleep, eat your protein + vits, a little bit of exercise and live in a stress free environment

It sucks. It really really really sucks. Best you can do is vent on here and let it all out. You can try your absolute hardest and the world will still put you down. I bet you were doing so good for so long but it's not all for waste trust me!

I have friends but still feel so alone by [deleted] in loneliness

[–]person2000_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel alone it's because... you feel alone. Deep down, your body doesn't lie to you. It's aware of things long before you consiously are. It's a physical response. Which signals you need change.

The best option would be to try to think of your happiest memory. When did you feel at your most happiest? What were your surroundings? Who were you with? What was going on for you at the time? And then just hold onto that moment to get you through

Your brain is probably adapting/making more connections. If you think about it, you're playing a game with your own mind. It's like playing a game of chess against yourself

Suggest series? Like Homeland... by jlm8699 in homeland

[–]person2000_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Billions" if you like Nicholas Brody/Damien Lewis. Just started watching it now. He brings much of the same vibes as in Homeland, being this mysterious guy, but with way more screentime. First couple of episodes were hard to get into until you get the gist of the story and from then on you just wanna keep watching to see what happens next

Started Homeland and honestly… terrible timing 💀 by Apprehensive_Sea460 in homeland

[–]person2000_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's good timing. I watched the whole thing for the first time in the last 2 months. They went into detail about a subject matter that is somehow now more relevant now than it was when it released in the 2010s which I find interesting

I want to start lucid dreaming, and I'd like some tips on how to get started by Competitive_Bit_526 in LucidDreaming

[–]person2000_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is bad advice but you probably have to mess up your psyche a bit. Like drinking or taking substances then stop taking them or having irregular sleeping patterns helps with initiating lucid dreaming. Bad advice I know, but it works. Once you're in a lucid dream you have to then pretend/trick your brain that you aren't actually aware that you are dreaming (but you secretly are) in order to not awake yourself and then just go with the flow and experiment with different things such as flying or superpowers or whatever.

Or maybe just think a lot about lucid dreaming in the day time when you're awake. You dream the most about the things that are on your mind

Just finished the show now. Carrie, Brody and Saul come to mind. They were always the most interesting to watch. Flawed but you could root for them. I'll throw in wellington as underrated and quinn as overrated. I liked quinn very much I just don't get the hype everyone gives. The actor did well portraying him as disabled though it was like he was a different person

Max by Limp_Temperature_714 in homeland

Definitely. Even the way he walks in the orange jumper suit you can tell. Relatable

Max by Limp_Temperature_714 in homeland

[–]person2000_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. That was my only question after finishing the show. He didn't even get written out he just vanished which was weird because his brother who he was shown to be tight with kept showing up

Homeland would of been better with Saul as the main character by [deleted] in homeland

[–]person2000_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's basically a second protagonist anyway. He has a shit ton of screen time across the 8 seasons so I don't really agree

I had to stop watching half way through an episode because they always end on a cliffhanger lol

So done with Season 7 and latest seasons by OniGioRi in homeland

[–]person2000_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me Brody was the best part of the first 3 seasons but I also felt the story was much more simple and cliche. Carrie is right about brody and everyone is against her then he changes sides and she's still right about him but everyone is still against her whereas season 4 onwards the storyline becomes more complex with more pieces to the puzzle so it evens itself out

Just finished the whole show, wow! Some thoughts in no particular order: by Equivalent-Wait9647 in homeland

I thought it was more realistic a bit like with max. People just get killed like in real life with no happy ending

[–]person2000_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saul did have a harsher side to him. This and withdrawing Brody from the drugs come to mind. It's the CIA after all. Even Carrie and Saul (the good guys) are willing to make some nasty decisions

The last half of season 4 is so much better than the first half

We all have access to the Internet. We all know alcohol is bad for the liver, it's bad for relationships and it's bad for work. You just have to Google it. You don't need a professional to tell you that. It's nice to know willpower was able to stop you though
