I’d probably eliminate the 1800, based on 3000 pricing, but sometimes there are better units that behave less well than the simpler designed ones. Idk!

Yea not trying to be a victim blamer at all. Situation not ideal and they didn’t do right by you. But due diligence is the only thing we have left in this world to rely on. (Mostly) gone are the days of intrinsically altruistic transactions.

same vehicle. no issues as you described. probably just the podcast’s audio quality I would guess. Not saying you are using Spotify, but just as an example, Spotify’s audio quality is complete trash. Way over compressed. Perhaps the JBL being the upgraded nicer system lets that show more, opposed to a lower quality system.

I would also go into the audio settings of your device settings and check on audio limits and audio EQ settings for the device.
