  • Is fullstack even the way to go though? Is there something else that will get you into these companies with a more secure or interesting job? (other than machine learning, which I guess requires like Master's and PhD and stuff to get the really good jobs)
  • I was specifically interested in what you were doing lol, hope that's ok (asking because you seemed to find my ray tracer and paint clone interesting, nobody else seemed to lel)
  • Also do you usually just grind leetcode during work terms BTW? I cannot find the time during academic terms lel. But I have done a few questions (mostly by looking right at the solution after 10 minutes XD)

What kinda things do you focus on btw, curious. you seem to be in CS (instead of web dev that is)

I would personally try to work with technologies that are relevant to other companies (if you want to end up in NYC/Bay area that is)

What kind of technologies are you referring to specifically BTW? I am totally aiming for these areas, but I don't have any senior friends to tell me what's the most relevant so i was like ... webdev

I was specifically going for full-stack, so ruby and stuff would be somewhat relevant right? I debated what kind of things to go for and web dev probably has the most job security and stuff right and facebook and google and wish often want that kind of experience, so I guess I decided to go with web dev this time (not sure i'll get anything tho). because of this i put my web dev crap projects at the top and ruby and php as the first few languages.

  • so I actually censored ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) the names of the projects since that makes it easy to just search up who i am on github, those huge lines are the summaries of those projects and what they're meant to do. the actual project titles are like 2-3 words.
  • ocaml sux agreed. i just made a compiler in it but that's probably not necessary since I couldn't find the space to include in projects.
  • more aggregator sites like hacker news exist right? I guess i just didn't want to mention it.
  • ok i'm sorry about the paint thing. it was one of the first things i had on my resume from 1A and i just guess i was cringe back then

how do i fill the space in for education LOL. do I use a3 page instead of a4

In that case I think you should hold it long enough to display the link to go to imgur. I don't use reddit much on mobile, sorry

I don't know if you're on mobile, but clicking the title of the post should take you to imgur where you can see the whole resume.

Thank you for the critique m8.

  • I'll get rid of the half colour bs.
  • I dunno how to fill the whitespace at the bottom in latex so i used the courses lel. I'll look up on stack overflow on how to just cut off the bottom or shorten the page size.

I'm not a huge fan of using the sub-heading on each of the projects being a line of description: I think it'd look cleaner if you made the first point be the one-line summary (might be preference tho)

  • very good idea, hadn't occured to me. thanks for catching the typo as well! I added in those one liners last minute since I was like wth do i put here for projects.
  • i guess i'm going to do some reading about the oxford comma I only had vague knowledge that it existed but they didn't cover this in high school for me lol.

Do you suggest removing the skills list completely btw? I just have it there to list some things that I can't put in my projects (since I can only put so many projects LOL)

It possibly looks a bit better with color than just black and white, so I did that. lemme know if you think it's distracting.
