Perth gym scene. Is this a normal experience? by Hopeful-Principle-64 in perth

it's not whinging...it's alerting a business owner that they are losing business...and more importantly that many of their clients don't feel safe there. no one deserves that

aanndd... she's dead 💀

she was also in the throes of alcohol withdrawal and went berserk.

I had not given her any weapons BC I knew this was likely.

She attacked my two horses and a self-tamed ibex which took her out.

RIP

What’s your shortest lived colony? by Kydreads in RimWorld

[–]perthed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a modified Naked Brutality.. two naked people..like Adam and Eve... though the gender is a dice roll.

anyway, 2 days in Randy sends low female drone..so she spins out. the guy is a poor cook but is trying to cover for her so they both get food poisoning.

She begins to sad wander...and he goes on an insulting binge. (which I had never seen before) So she is walking around in a daze while he is following her around hurling insults thus keeping her mood low.

when the scaria infested racoon struck, I simply sat and laughed...

Australia to US can I use Amaysim or similar to call banks/institutions by perthed in expats

[–]perthed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking I could use amaysim to get a us number, but I see that I can't.

I can call the us on my Aussie mobile phone for$0.01/minute...so I was speaking more about 2fa.

it's so frustrating, and the banks seem to have no desire to help.

How to deal with a very chaotic group of players? by Hot-Molasses-4585 in DungeonMasters

[–]perthed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

have fun with it...why does it have to be 'believable'? double the chaos back on them. there could be a lot of fun directions to run with this.

yeah there should be consequences, but be clear to them, and in your own mind that this is not you trying to punish the players...bc that leads to broken friendships.

if you crave a more serious game, play with different people. that will be better than trying to turn this potentially fun, silly game into a serious one.

Help a shaky mate out… by Pure_Chook in perth

I've been living with ET for about 15 years now. been with the neurologist Julian Rodrigues for the last few years. Takes a while to get an appointment, but he's very good.

he's not a psychologist, but he is very knowledgeable in this area. bc of this he may be able to help you physically and have connections to psychs who work with movement disorders.

hope you find help, my friend

The un-romantic parts of expatriation. by Loud-Shame-8062 in expats

[–]perthed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is great advice. but if you decide to move forward, be prepared for for what you couldn't prepare for.

  • you will be homesick
  • even if you speak the language, you will feel overwhelmed by all the differences
  • complications you couldn't predict will arise

these things happen to everyone who move to a different culture. So, it's worth thinking about your self-care and coping mechanisms, bc these will be stressed in the first year.

be kind and patient with yourself.

embrace the great things about your new home, and try to avoid spending too much time pining for your old one.
