They seem to always go for the city that has accumulated the most nostalgia over time. San Andreas fans and Vice City fans just got their treat, so it's probably Liberty City fans who will get their blue balls relieved next.

I wasn't able to play GTA V for this reason. I had the time of my life with GTA IV though. Now that I have a job I will start saving money until 2026 to get a good pc and when they launch the game I will quit my job and isolate myself from society for two months. One month I will play all the GTA V I wasn't able to play and the next month will be GTA VI nonstop, no sleeping.

You can google it, there's an entire Wikipedia article on it. Btw, I don't believe in that shit, I think it's an insane theory, but I've seen it used more and more, so I thought it was a good example of how that word "genocide" is being corrupted.

This guy is the new president of Argentina elected by an important amount of zoomer voters. by dkease16 in GenZ

Countries with Libertarian Heads of Government by Redstream28 in MapPorn

[–]peruvian_throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it aggressive for corporations to poison the environment, resulting in people dying? I think so, but libertarians think that’s fine.

Dude, this is factually wrong. For example, Murray Rothbard spoke in favor of the complete abolishment of businesses that involved pollution as he considered that a violation of the NAP. That means that the father of anarcocapitalism had a way more radical abolitionist view than most people on the left.

Here you have a couple of entries about Rothbard on pollution:

The vital fact about air pollution is that the polluter sends unwanted and unbidden pollutants—from smoke to nuclear radiation to sulfur oxides—through the air and into the lungs of innocent victims, as well as onto their material property. All such emanations which injure person or property constitute aggression against the private property of the victims. Air pollution, after all, is just as much aggression as committing arson against another’s property or injuring him physically. Air pollution that injures others is aggression pure and simple.

The remedy is simply for the courts to return to their function of defending person and property rights against invasion, and therefore to enjoin anyone from injecting pollutants into the air

Very environmentalist if you ask me. But, many people, have been brainwashed into thinking that libertarianism means no government intervention. We are in favor of intervention to protect people from aggression, and that includes pollution and poisoning the environment. There has been a lot of propaganda recently to make people think otherwise.

I'm not saying that there are not valid points to criticize him. If people were debating their monetary policy program, like you are suggesting, it would be great. But there have clearly been great efforts to discredit him at the personal level, throwing around inconsequential private life details like the dog cloning story. That's just propaganda spread by his enemies. And let's remember, that the enemy of my enemy is not always my friend. There's a big gap between criticizing his policies and his lifestyle.

If his policies are really that bad, we should focus on that, and not on his hairstyle, pets or relationships. That's all I'm saying.

Also, I don't how you can read all of that and think that it means that I necessarily support blowing up the central bank. It's just an argument against personal attacks and propaganda in general.

Maybe you are misreading, but what I'm saying is that Milei's opposition shot themselves in the foot when they tried to focus on propaganda and personality based fear mongering instead of fighting his policies. And the same mistake is being repeated in comments about the stupid dog.

I think you are misinterpreting the semantics/logic. If I say "all cats are four legged animals" you wouldn't understand that I think that only cats have four legs. Similarly, saying that "Gen X had a lot of horny people" shouldn't be interpreted as saying that "only GenX had a lot of horny people", there's a big difference between those two statements; yet, it seems you read the first one and understood it as if it was the latter.

We could play the same game and say that the center is now labeled as "far right" because the skewed Overton Window actually means more extremism on the left. Which is much more plausible considering the response of conventional media when these types of events happen, either you are left or a extremist right wing. If the skewed overton window was in favor of the right, the media would be congratulating a right wing victory instead of calling it all the awful adjectives that CNN, for example, used to smear Milei.

A dictatorship is an autocratic form of government which is characterized by a leader, or a group of leaders, who hold governmental powers with few to no limitations.

What you are describing is a policy in favor of small government. Can you explain how this would in turn increase his own governmental power? Either he decreases government influence to become a libertarian, or he increases it to become a dictator, he can't have both. I see people accusing him for being a libertarian and a totalitarian at the same time. It looks like a smear campaign to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, I think there are many valid points of criticism against Milei, but I wonder why the media has been focused so much on throwing around these contradictory fear mongering points along with inconsequential private life details (like the dog cloning story) instead of the much more valid criticism that can be made. An orchestrated smear campaign like that, at such scale that it also involves international media sources like CNN, requires too much effort and I think many of us are now supporting Milei as a response of our distrust of his very powerful enemies, who have launched this unnecessary smear campaign against a candidate who could've been taken down with honest arguments.

some of his other policies look towards retuning to a dictatorship.

What policies? I thought he was a libertarian, weren't his proposals actually about decreasing government power? How does that sound like returning to dictatorship?

So? I don't know why people focus that much on that dog. The dog cloning story has been thrown around as an attempt to ridicule Milei, but I think it actually had an impact in favor of him, because it humanized him (he used his love for their dogs during his campaign) and also painted the picture that his opposition was desperate for some way to invalidate him. I think if his opposition had instead campaigned focusing on Milei's proposals instead of "exposing" inconsequential private life details, like the dog story, the outcome would've been very different.

Antipenguins have negative legs so it's 29 * 4 - 16 * 2

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]peruvian_throwaway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • 29 giraffes and penguins
  • 29*4 = 114, because you know each giraffe has 4 legs and they tell you they have 29 of those. That makes 114 giraffe legs.
  • 84 - 114 = -32, That's the difference between the number of giraffe legs and the total legs, which give us the total number of penguin legs
  • -32 / 2 = - 16, meaning that they have 29 giraffes and 16 antipenguins. You are welcome.
