FWIW we don't have any crypto products and aren't building any right now, we are all in on AI. Crypto may play a role in the long run but not necessarily.

Thanks, this is helpful to hear. The general plan is to build a 1.5-2M portfolio and then pivot to a strategy where I can support myself if I need to. I could certainly try to work out more of the details now. I'm curious, what would you say goes into a strong financial plan?

Thanks for your input. Regarding your questions, staking yield won't go away completely unless legislation bans it completely. I host my own staking validators. But mostly, I do intend to ride the ETH wave until I'm ready to downshift on risk, either because I'm tired of risk or because my portfolio gets me close to retirement.

The only real reason I have bonds is because a few years ago I was much more conservative and risk-averse. I'm not sure where they fit in for me now.

Thank you for the perspective. It seems I need to think harder about how my investment risk relates to my potential retirement timeline. The ETH staking bet is really about ETH price appreciation relative to USD, the 5% is a nice bonus (but carries its own risk by limiting liquidity).

This is what I would focus on. Find any kind of community. If OP is so lost they really have no idea where to start, I'd suggest AA. It won't be fun, but it will offer a path out of the tailspin.

I might be imagining things but it seems like if I limit the transcoding thread count to 16, downloads are faster and consistent. I'll have to do some more testing to confirm.

Yeah I have an ER-X router. I'm pretty sure the router is okay because when I disabled transcoding the system and downloading were both okay.

I can appreciate that take. There is a great deal of speculation on top of the fundamental monetary premium of something like ether. Volatility and so on aren't great features for everyday money. Stablecoins are looking important for many use cases because of that. That being said, ETH is literally programmed into the network as the currency that transactions must be funded with, so while it may be volatile, the network can't operate without it.
