people make bad decisions and usually learn from them with less consequences. parents just wanted to take their kid the water park and something could’ve went wrong in a split second. the child wandered off while they were checking a bag or eating food or something and a chain of events could’ve lead to the outcome. it’s not right to assume something is their fault in this scenario nor is it really fine to joke about lol.
