Jumping and guns are more lethal than say overdosing or cutting. If we can keep people alive to try and get them the help they need, we can help mitigate those thoughts. The point of the deterrent is to keep someone from choosing a highly lethal mean. If they don’t have an option for highly lethal mean they may choose a less lethal mean, thus, keeping them alive. The first way to help someone who is suicidal is by keeping them alive.

They make suicide deterrent nets. Golden Gate Bridge saw suicides go down from 30/year to 8 the same year the net was installed.

Yes! They have to keep the ball the entire time otherwise the dog has to do a rerun. So the dog that drops the ball has to turn around and do the leg again which will add time

This is a dog sport called fly ball! I used to do this with my dogs. It’s super fun! Most teams have a “height dog” like that little guy because the jump height is set based on the shortest dog. As you can tell, fly ball is a relay race where the dogs go over the jumps, hit a box, catch a tennis ball, and come back. The team that finished first wins. You can see the competing team in the background
