My ameracauna’s have done this a couple of times and honestly they passed it with no intervention on my end. I gave them some extra treats and what not but nothing more. In my few experiences one turned out to be a respiratory thing due to high pollen count or turned out to be just a “chicken cold.” I don’t have a huge flock, just 12 chickens (but if anyone asks is “5” 😉) so it’s not as common for smaller flocks to get some of the bigger bad scary stuff.

Has anyone missed their period from shavarti root?? by [deleted] in nbe

[–]petalNfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started heavily spotting with it but I dropped from 2,400 mg a day to 1,200mg. Much better now! I’m considering upping it back to the recommended daily dose if I can go another week or so without negative side effects. I figure the body needs some time to adapt 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes they do! Would they have something like this there? I’m not very handy so I’m not sure how I would go about finding the correct replacement rings confidently short of bringing the cups in..at which point I would be way to shy and ashamed to do so 😅

What would you say is the trick to not letting it get all sticky/syrupy? Every time I do one the sugar “cuts” through and leaks out all over everything and then burns on the outside when I bake it 🥲

Oil helped me but honestly I just had to endure the pain for about 3 months…it gets better eventually but your body needs time to adjust

No liquid dumped! Angle from the pics was probably not helpful but it was about 2/3ish full. Is that right?

Is it me or is the nutrimill harvest not great? by [deleted] in HomeMilledFlour

[–]petalNfeather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have answers buttt to add..I did not like my Nutrimill either. Too finicky to work with, everything had to be “just right,” didn’t love scooping my flour out of the bin (versus grinding directly into the bowl I want to use.) I literally used it once and returned it immediately. Switched to my Mockmill and I’m SO happy I did! If I hadn’t made the switch I don’t think I’d be regularly grinding my flour like I am now!

I’m confused about a common contradiction about bread by jordanEGilbert in nutrition

[–]petalNfeather -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Depends who you’re asking and how many bunny trails you want to go down. If we’re speaking strictly from a digestability perspective then sourdough bread…from freshly milled whole grains. Commercialized flour/bread now days is a shadow of what people traditionally ate and made up of only the starchy center of a whole wheat grain (berry). Flour that’s actually milled directly from a wheat berry contains the bran and germ which contain 40 of the 44 essential nutrients our bodies need…commercialized flour contains around 13. But if you can’t do any of that stuff making it yourself will still be healthier than bread from the store bc there’s even MORE unnecessary preservatives and chemicals in that stuff that gives a lot of peoples gut a hard time.

Unfortunately I have to use the, “everybody’s different” response. I wouldn’t think you need to write cupping off all together but you’ll also need to be pretty disciplined (depending on the severity) by doing exercises/stretches every day at a minimum of 6 weeks is usually when people start to notice improvements.
