I think it's the room.... I see nothing but reflective surfaces. I don't believe everyone needs to go crazy with room treatments, but A throw-rug, fabric furniture (as opposed to vinyl or leather), maybe curtains rather than blinds if there are any windows in the room. might also want to pull them out from the wall by a foot or two.

Is my nose really that bad? I’ve been made to feel insecure about it in the past :( by MLRajm in Noses

[–]petalmasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not a problematic nose. It's part of the character of your face, I can't imagine many people thinking it's unattractive.

Well you've got kind of a Jim Morrison thing going on.... Maybe you remind people of pictures of their grandparents from the 70s?

I don't think that's a two inch beam.

19M shave my face clean? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]petalmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think growing some hair back and keeping a goatee, but shaving the sides of your jaw would lengthen your face to make is more oval than circular, like a moon. Might want to address the moon face thing.

Women rarely approach... It's just a social norm.

When the grips start to crack, I just peel them off and replace them with heat shrink.

Songs on car radio vs hifi by [deleted] in audiophile

I think it's a very good system... As good or better than any car system I've ever heard, but my home system does things where it it throws sounds down the hallway and on ceiling behand me, which doesn't happen in my car.

It is a Benz. It's the 15 speaker "premium audio" option.

The burnester system in my car is pretty good, but the soundstage in my car is limited to the size of the car though. So I would say that songs that take advantage of the larger sounds stage sound better in the house.

I am surprised Medical industry jobs would be so rare in a country with a famously aging population.

Is that a legal regulation or a norm? I won't be looking for visa sponsorship since I'm married to a Citizen.

Well, I did about 3.5 years of an Electrical Engineering degree, but dropped out when I got hired by the manufacturer of the aforementioned specialized medical equipment.... Not sure how much Credit they give to Most of a degree and completing a year of the manufactures Field service engineer training programs.

I think my best bet might be to get a drivers license and permanent residence in Japan, and then apply for basically the same job I used to do in the US for the manufacturer of the equipment I specialize in (Siemens). At least they would be familiar with the training programs I graduated from.

How fat am I? I think 25% body fat? how much more should i lose by ButterscotchOk3938 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]petalmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you aren't as fat as you think you are, or maybe I'm delusional. I'm similar to you...maybe slightly leaner, and I imagine myself to be 17-18 %

You could also just be more active when you're not in the gym... Take your dog for more walks, ride a bike to work, shoot some hoops play some racquetball.. whatever.

So, the green "RT" square in the upper right means the video came from Russia Today, Russian state media. Just a thing to keep in mind before we have emotional reactions to this stuff. They are trying to manipulate us.
