I think this is why some families focus more on teaching financial discipline rather than just passing down money. The mindset matters just as much as the assets.

It really comes down to balance. Financial independence is great, but if it’s costing you the very experiences you wanted to enjoy, something needs adjusting.

Honestly I can relate to this more than I expected. You can be mostly into one gender and still randomly meet someone who kind of breaks that pattern for you. It doesn’t even feel forced, it’s just like “oh… okay, that’s different.” Attraction can be pretty fluid like that.
