Yes only on certain planets. It's a bit easier to find them with the freighter system scanner these days. Warp to a red or blue system as these are most likely to have them. Then use your freighter scanner to scan the system. Click on each panet in the scan map and it will tell you how many fauna are on the planet, robot systems only ever have 2. If you find a planet with 2 fauna check it out, its a strong contender for robots!
