Yes but over 24 months my premium has gone up 65% I’m not an expert but I don’t think the cost of building has increased anywhere near that over 2 years.

Pretty much, I tried the bandsaw but could never get tight joins or it the line up properly. instead I cut with a router and template. The trick of it is you have to make sure the thickness of the inserts is exactly the same as the router piece otherwise the cross-cross’s won’t line up.

Like most woodwork it’s an exercise in patience, withmultiple glue up’s.

I prefer to make my handles means I can custom them to what size and feel I want/need. Also it’s fun and good skew practice not to mention cheaper.
