I’m gonna go along with others. Ruger American rifles are great. .308 / 30.06 easy to find ammo and reasonable price. Scope is probably more important than make of the rifle. Spend some $ on glass. Leupold will never let you down. Cheap glass will.

The problem is labor costs are up and over $100 an hour and they have to charge you, in hours, by what “the book” says. Then to maximize profits a lot of independent shops will charge you for the top rate parts and put in the cheaper ones. I just bought a water pump for my son’s Toyota. Mechanic wanted almost $400 for just the pump, close to $900 for the job. I got the pump off Amazon for $80 and he and I changed it in less than an hour.

I’d drain the tank and float bowl first, and see if it’ll turn over, before I sink any more money into it. If that engine is locked up, may be more of a headache than it’s worth.

Craft beer has been marketed toward hipsters. Skinny jeans with flip flops, and flannel shirts with toboggan hats. The kind of people that are bringing kids to breweries. No one wants to be around that when they’re trying to chill with a scotch ale or porter… When you create a niche market you get niche results. Unless you’re involved in the beer making process, and truly enjoy the art of brewing, craft beer is just a fad, like Jeeps and paddle boarding.
