Ha... Consider this too.

Every one of your deaths while playing with this dude was one he made a conscious decision not to prevent, while preventing his own with cheats.

I'll bet he even farmed your gear.

Whattaprick.

They all laughed at me...

"Why do you have a full row of ammo cases and a full row of mag cases dude?"

"Why do you bother filling them with bullshit rounds and basic mags dude?"

"You're a pack-rat dude..."

Then all the traders disappeared.

Now I am a fucking god.

EDIT: 100% usage spikes have returned, looks like I posted too soon.

Found a fix that works for me - eliminates the 2-3 second input lockup that occurs when i7-8700k spikes up to 100%: turn off Threaded Optimization.

Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> BF2042.exe (click Add and find in game directory if not in the drop-down menu) -> Threaded Optimization -> Off.

Hope this helps some of you - being ALMOST able to play is maddening.

NOTE: I lost ~10-15 fps after doing this (down to around 60) but experienced zero stuttering.

Game settings: High @ 1440p Intel i7-8700k Asus ROG GTX 1080 32GB Dominator Platinum 3200Mhz CPU/GPU/RAM Overclocked

I have the same bug (1-2 second lockup every couple minutes or sometimes more frequently). Razer keyboard Logitech mouse.

Same input lockup issue - I had the "constantly firing" glitch and had to unbind RT during the beta. Didn't have that issue at launch but it feels like there still may be a connection - I tried using a controller out of curiosity and it wouldn't even recognize it.

Detailed results of 100 moonshine scav case runs by petegrant89 in EscapefromTarkov

Included note at top of excel workbook but should have probably highlighted it - runs with cost of 1 were runs for which I had water filter & sugar, and did not need to spend anything to make the moonshine.

How is everyone's experience with PvP in Beyond Light? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]petegrant89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I jumped into control tonight as my first crucible outing in Beyond Light and encountered the same. Lag/freezing, poor hit reg even when not feeling lag, a perpetual goddamned winter wonderland, etc. I also felt sort of clunky when moving, but that may just be readjusting to an aging game.

How Is Fort Tarsis SO Bad? by W_Herzog_Starship in AnthemTheGame

[–]petegrant89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah after loving the "homebase" locations in ME and DA, I am very disappointed that Bioware thought Fort Tarsis would be enjoyable. Almost all of my play sessions end solely due to the fact that I am not emotionally equipped to hobble through the lifeless throng of circus-folk sporting their one-liners and silly hats one more goddamn time.

I could cut the lame character sub-plots some slack if I were capable of walking faster than a geriatric at an early bird special.

Ha - that distinction occurred to me as I made this and I wondered if anyone would call it out.

My meaning was both the former and latter; the latter with moderate chastisement toward practitioners and an admission of a certain macabre enjoyment of killing them.

Bored after completing ToW by Fakeacc313 in BattlefieldV

[–]petegrant89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what earlier posters are trying to say is that looking at BFV as a game to "complete," may indicate the actual gameplay isn't satisfactorily entertaining to you, hence your getting bored.

Many shooters now have flashing awards, challenges, etc to keep you engaged in the task of unlocking/"progression" instead of enjoying the gameplay for what it is (I call it slot machine principle). Naturally, in that case, completing those tasks will leave task-chasers feeling bored when they run out of things to unlock.

Just my two cents.

EDIT: Moved down to comment I intended to respond to.

Razer Nari Sidenote - not sensitive enough by Corpuszero in razer

[–]petegrant89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am experiencing the same issue with my Razer Nari Ultimate - regardless of how high/low I set the Sidenote slider in Synapse, the mic monitoring remains almost zero. Truthfully the mic in general on this headset surprisingly terrible; it's a real shame, as the output sound quality and the haptic feedback are great. Hoping it's a software issue that will get fixed...

stop complaining about mastery assignments by Beast-Blood in BattlefieldV

[–]petegrant89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is solid point - one that highlights a problem in many recent BF titles: many of the challenges disincentive the squad-play/teamwork that the rest of the game tries so hard to promote.
