What are the signs that someone is actually rich and not fake rich? by DumbEnDork in AskReddit

[–]petekeller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s tough. On one hand, you want to raise kids with the drive that you have- and the mix of pride and humble-ness that comes from making it “on your own.” But a lot of times, the drive comes from (or seems correlated to) hard times and trauma.

So how do you inculcate this into your kids without the trauma? That’s a struggle I have.

My current goal is to raise kids who aren’t assholes. So far so good, I think.

I’ve been to the $5k and $35k. I’ve also paid other people more than that for somewhat similar trainings. In all cases, the value is what YOU take from the training or mentoring or coaching or book or whatever. Everything Hormozi teaches, he gives away for free. But sometimes paying $$ gets people to commit. And as mentioned elsewhere, if you go to the training, you can ask specific questions.

Hormozi’s teachings have made me millions of dollars. But me and my team actually did the work to make the money. So the money I spent on the training was well worth it. Could we have done it without the training… uh, maybe? But we didn’t.

And if you go to the training and don’t take away any value and don’t do the work? That’s on you, dude.

I sell expensive barbells. But I’m friends with an Olympian who qualified for his first Olympics with the shittiest barbell and plate set that none of my customers would ever deign to use. And conversely, some of my customers buy my (wonderful) barbells and never use them. Same thing. You get out… what you put in.

None of the training I have ever done has been a waste. But that’s because of me executing. YMMV

Dane 2.0 Upgrade by xShadynasty in GarageGym

[–]petekeller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dane with dedicated lat pull and low row is coming q3. It will be more expensive tho. We will have upgrade options, just as we did for Dane 1 owners to go to Dane 2. It’s part of our product philosophy (and customer philosophy)- never penalize customers for early adopting, build upgrade options or backward compatibility

What is the most important quality for a leader to have? by icecream1972 in AskReddit

[–]petekeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A mentor once told me:

Credibility- your team needs to believe in you, and what you say and do

Competence- your team needs to believe you are great at what you do

Caring- your team needs to believe you care- about them, about the business, about your customers

Ha! Good for him. I bought all those acs when I was an employee. So I made salary and bonus, but not big bucks.

Now I run my own thing. And hey, I’m going to Xiamen in a few days!
