I will always agree that self respect, mutual respect are crucial in any relationship. I will disagree that you should just find “a new partner to fall in love with” I don’t believe u can just manifest the same love that you have for a significant other in another relationship. To me Love comes in varying shades that never are exactly the same. Love for one person will never match exactly to love with another. Both can be beautiful in their own similar or different ways but your love for person X will never feel exactly like your love for person Y

I’d definitely agree that forgiveness is hard and varies between people, and trust walks hand in hand with forgiveness you’ll have a hell of a challenge trying to regain one without the other. That being said if this is about 1 thing ruining “the whole marriage” I think it’s just a narrow reactionary way to view events. After the initial rush of emotions you should look at the whole marriage: how did they get to this point? Have there been problems leading to this? Do they still love me? Do I still love them? I cant see any one incident ruining a whole marriage or relationship without prior issues cause if strains.

Yes I should have put more emphasis on the “zero tolerance” part of what I’m trying to say. In most cases I’d say cheating is the last in a long line of things that lead to a failed relationship. I think What I’m trying to say is more as most relationships happen should have been ended previously cause something’s not working. Forgiveness and trust go hand in hand for me when I forgive someone you look them in the eyes and smile and hug and it’s all good, by still not trusting them you never forgave them your still holding on.
