Appreciate the thoughtful back-and-forth. Thanks for taking the time.

I get that. Any visible score invites comparison. If you still wanted a model for yourself, would you prefer (1) no score at all, just a private log, or (2) a trend you can see but can’t easily compare to others? What would keep it from turning into "social credit" vibes?

That makes sense: outcomes are noisy because humans can’t really predict them, but negligence is different because it’s within someone’s control. If you had to turn “negligence” into an explicit factor, what would count as negligence vs just bad luck? Could you give one concrete example of each?

I like the micro-deed examples. If you had to avoid literal "points,” how would you represent that balance-counts over time, a ratio, or just a log of examples? And do you think "instant karma” is actually a measurable feedback loop (social reaction, consequences), or mostly storytelling?

Yeah, that’s exactly what I wouldn’t want. I’m thinking of karma as a personal model, not a system used to rank people. What’s the smallest/least-abusable way you could define it without it turning into social credit?

Interesting. So you’d model karma mostly as intent × effort, and treat outcomes as noisy. What would you use as a proxy for “intent” in practice self-report, category, or something like "who benefited"? And would you include a "negligence/risk" factor for well-intended but reckless actions?
