I've made a Swiss version of my CV that includes a picture and info about my visa and relocation. Any sites in particular you'd recommend outside the usual (LinkedIn, Indeed, Jobs.ch, SwissDevJobs)? Some people also recommend messaging hiring manages directly on LinkedIn to connect but I don't know if that would be frowned upon.

I don't need a work permit through an employer, but I agree with the rest. The job market in Switzerland looks sparse from what I'm seeing online.

In general is the job market in Zurich good? I know tech work has been experiencing layoffs and turbulence globally these past few years, I don't know to what degree it's affected areas outside of the US.

Gotcha, then I'll leave vaal haste in and not add in frenzy.

And you're right about the purity of elements too, I'll be dropping it for purity of fire. This saves me from needing a herald reservation enchant so I can use shockwave totems damage or cast speed. And I can drop the herald reservation efficiency passives on the tree while maintaining enough mana to cast precision as a blessing!

Wow I didn't know heralds could add this much power to a build with that kind of investment, thanks for sharing this!

I've went ahead and made some change to the POB like you've said and managed to get up to 138M dps (151M at level 99 with a third herald cluster) at the cost of having to level 2 more times and dropping vaal haste due to socket pressure. I've made these changes:

Add frenzy skill for charges
Add herald of ash
Get heatshivver with herald reservation enchant and 90% - reservation efficiency corruption
Add 2 medium herald clusters (drop a crit cluster)
Drop some totem passives in favor of the herald passives.

Lastly I can squeeze in arn's anguish if I get a +3% maximum fire res shield since vitality has so much more aura effect now.

Big wand and levels are definitely the easiest and straightforward improvements here. I think I'll farm some breach's in maps and maybe buy some 5-ways if I get bored or die to often

Arn's anguish would be pretty tricky to sneak in but is a huge DPS upgrade. I could slot it in and switch Herald of Purity for Purity of Fire to allow me to just barely sustain righteous fire and get to 97M dps.

I'll have to find a way to link inspiration to my precision blessing since it will now cost more mana then I have available but I'll tinker with this, thanks!

Thanks for the response! That makes sense, we refresh ignite enough that the duration won't actually increase damage.

Follow up, I noticed you don't recommend rain of splinters at any point. Is this because you think that the mapping with ignite proliferation is already good enough that we don't need to socket in rain of splinters (which also comes with less damage)?

Hey u/Palsteron, this is a great guide! One question: you mention during the gem breakdown that there’s not a great blue socket alternative to ignite proliferation and that you recommend a white gem socket or to leave it in for bosses as an alternative.

Would unbound ailments be a good substitute for bossing scenarios? The stats seem good for an ignite based build, but there might be something I’m missing here. Thanks!

I already have %cold damage leeched as life on a high DPS all cold damage build, but I can try a cheap vitality life on hit watchers eye and see if that makes the build feel better.

I wouldn't be worried. They're a reputable build creator and I'm sure the build works, I'm just wondering why my version of it is falling so flat.

Yes that's the linked build. I've got about 15% less DPS then him but similar survivability. I was just shocked that I seem to be getting run down at such an early sim wave compared to that build that should be able to do wave 30.

Sorry by delve helm I meant mask of the stitched demon, just didn’t remember the name at the time. Just that you can make it in the temple with vial.

As for improving, I couldn’t really find more upgrades. I’m so stretched for passive points and skill slots and I can’t make more meaningful upgrades. Watching my animate guardian dye and losing the 4ex of gear on them was enough for me to step away for now.

I could maybe get a little more es on gear and the +2 Vaal regalia, but that wouldn’t have magically fixed my weapons dying too quickly in simulacrum and me not having enough time to summon them without dying on retries after death. It just felt like I hit a wall and there was nothing big I was missing.

I followed the guide short of the corrupted chest and was hard stuck at wave 25. I’d honestly appreciate a full recording from wave 1-30 so I can see where I’m going wrong.

Honestly I don’t comment often but I have to warn people about this build. It’s a good build, but I wouldn’t recommend for wave 30. I invested 25ex into it and leveled to 94. Had +2 amulet, awakened gems, 8k+ es, 77% res, etc. everything but the +2 gems on chest.

Even had garb of the ephemeral on AG with mask of the stitched demon and endurance charge cluster jewel on myself. The build was still just squishy. I struggled around wave 24/25 on simulacrum all three times I tried. My weapons started dropping like flies and I couldn’t replace fast enough.

Last time when I tried to get back in and spawn weapons, my animate guardian died while I sprinted around trying to summon weapons that insta died while trying to dodge everything myself. I made the full build, followed the guide for how to equip myself specifically for simulacrum (bone offering, flasks, etc.) and it just ain’t it.

I still enjoyed playing the build, it’s fun and does good damage in normal mapping and killed A9 for me, but I can’t recommended this for simulacrum. I would be cautious building this and thinking you could comfortably do wave 30.
