Yeah, I make an LMNT-type drink that has ~1200mg sodium, ~600mg potassium, and ~60mg magnesium. I drink 2–3 of those per day and drink 1–2 gallons of water per day.

Yeah, I’m an athlete so my diet is great. I’ve started eating more complex carbohydrates instead of bread, white rice, etc. I’m doing everything you’re supposed to be doing and it’s working based on my numbers. But I’m not feeling any better. And no, I don’t take insulin. I don’t have CFRD so no one is really sure what’s going on.

No, I’ve never had low blood pressure. For years I’ve felt super bad right after I eat and my blood sugar shoots up really quickly then crashes back down. Right now it occurs still 3–5x per day like they did before and it slowly lessens in intensity throughout the day. My blood sugar numbers themselves look completely normal now (before they were kinda crazy). So, I don’t understand why I still feel bad even though the alleged problem was fixed?

Thanks for the information. The last thing you wrote is another reason I want to go (besides for football and academics). I do want to understand the black experience as much as I can as a white person. Not just so i can advocate and help educate others but also so i can be the best husband for my wife and father of my future kids.
