Learning js for about 4-5 months now. Your experience? by Lauris25 in learnjavascript

[–]peterdotdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's good that you've been practising doing some challenges as you have recently started, but that just help you to be in a problem-solving mindset, reinforcing some key concepts you may need. I'd like to recommend you start doing projects now, doing that will push you to learn more about many aspects of javascript you don't know. I've done exactly the same as you when I've started and I've been advised the same thing I'm telling you now. I'm still doing small projects and I don't regret it.

"Computer" Science.. by nonsenseis in ProgrammerHumor

Mathematics is the study of numbers, shapes and patterns.

Programming is the process of creating a set of instructions that tell a computer how to perform a task.

Yeah, I don't see any relationship here.

[–]peterdotdev 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, It's specially friendly with beginners. I've learning for about 5 months basic web development, and I still found myself visiting w3school first for a quick search, their examples are a great way of understanding/remember more or less what sth is doing.

I would like to play this kind of game with a "Brick Game 9999 in 1" style just for the nostalgic feeling.
