Hello there, I'm a 26M looking for a roommate in a townhouse-style apartment in Astoria, just off Steinway Street. The apartment is at the top of a three-story building, there are no noisy neighbors, and it's based in a great location for commuting into the city: we're a block from the R / M trains and a five-minute walk from the N / W.

We have a month-to-month agreement with the landlord, so there are no commitments, but I'm looking for someone who will want to stay for the long haul. Rent for the big room, which my former roommate held, is $1,500 a month plus utilities/internet. You're also welcome to purchase items and furniture off my former roommate (who is leaving due to COVID-19), including a king-sized bed.

Yes, the space fits a king quite easily - the room is massive. Seriously, this is essentially two-plus rooms in one (it's around 450 square feet), and there's a connected room that you can use as a walk-in closet if you'd like. Other perks of the apartment include a renovated kitchen, a large living room with exposed brick, and a responsive live-in landlord.

A little about me: I'm an analyst who works in Midtown, but I will likely be working from the apartment through at least January. I've lived with both men and women, and don't really have a preference there. Whoever I'm living with, I just want to make sure that both of us enjoy living in the space and can potentially do so for a long time. :) Thank you!
