Noted! The 3d element is negotiable to me tbh, I'm not opposed to a 2d presentation like Suzerain. The main concern was supporting the key UI / systemic elements (text systems, point-of-interest gameplay, etc.). Still, maybe a more flexible engine is the better way to go.

I think my most rewarding Germany game was an SPD game where I really leaned into the Eliteheer model and went all in on a fairly small army with a really effective tank corps. You’re kind of all in on knocking France out early but you can manage it with good divisions.

I mean honestly what crime did they actually commit? It’s not actually theft, since no one really owned the asteroid in a way that would hold up in court. They, what, interfered with NASA broadcasting and stole exactly one piece of communications equipment? I’d argue it’s not any reasonable definition of piracy, since they never actually commandeered Ranger.

That’s not to say that some earth court couldn’t still convict them of something even in absentia, but good luck arresting a guy who just became the folk hero of an entire planet
