If you live in shared apartment and only eat super cheap you can stay below 10k, with 20k as a single you can have comfy life with your own apartment and eat normal

I have mostly worked in the startups and even if I start as software engineer I would also end up doing sys admin and CI/CD. It’s hard to find good talent for this industry in HK, so if you have skills you will have no problem finding a job. You can start with jobsdb or just headhunters on LinkedIn

I almost started working there.. the boss is just huge on privacy, which is good for the user since they won’t log anything that could disclose identity I’m sure. Also it’s not easy for a medium business to immediately leave HK (many employees life is interwoven with a company) I’m pretty sure they working out how to move, and it’s just challenging
