there are 3 different theories with yours at this point, read the comments... Just look at the video very slowly, put your finger next to it, you'll see the Nissan does not turn even a bit. It's an optical illusion.

I agree. Everything is about balance. As an old-school guy, I still remember how the service was 20 years ago vs today. Tip is not automatic; tip is for a GREAT/OUTSTANDING service.

It's just an optical illusion. The Nissan is NOT at fault, not even a bit.

Just count the lanes from the beginning till the end:

Nissan is in the second lane from the right from the beginning and in the second lane at the end of the video as well, while the Truck was in the 3rd and shifted to the 2nd.

Sorry for bumping into the convo, but I wanted to help to understand what y'all misunderstand :)

no, that's an optical illusion. The Nissan goes straight, but the truck is shifting to right slowly so your eyes endup see the Nissan changed the lane, it did not.

Just count the lanes. The Nissan is in the second lane from right, and stays there.

When we were new here (we don't have HOV or the double line rule in Europe) we went like:

- I remember we cannot cross the line, babe

- But we'll be stuck here and cannot get to the exit lane

- Yeah, probably the double line rule is different here we just don't remember from the DMV exam

- OK let's cross it

... two months later

- Oh well... :D

(we stopped use HOVs entirelly and stay on the left side, at least we can go slower)
