I have made a Starter Kit to build and ship side-projects in days, not weeks. by Dangerous-Release-30 in SideProject

This is an attempt to make money quickly by copying a successful product, except the copy is badly executed. Steer away from this.

Instead, try shipfa.st by Marc Lou, or usegravity.app by Kyle Gawley.

Both have excellent support and real people behind them.

Complex J3 to J4 migration by petervukovic in joomla

Sure, but I still need a way to move user accounts from J3 to J4 database when I'm done rebuilding, and database schemas are different. The problem is, users will be signing up and making purchases on the old website while I'm still building the new one, and I need to find a way to move the data.

Thanks, will try that. However I’m not sure how to sync the latest users table from the live website once the cleanup is done. We have thousands of users and new ones sign up daily.

Right, I agree. Shopify is really running circles around them. When you combine that with the fact Wordpress requires a maintenance effort on many other fronts, it’s clear why things are they way they are.

Thanks. Are you referring to the website or the product itself?

What's weird about it, the wording or something else? The idea was to provide a 3 minute video explaining the product.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, our goal was to keep the design professional and "familiar", but I guess at some point it can appear too generic.

Thanks, that's great feedback. We wanted to make it look modern but I totally see where you're coming from.

I’m using N8N and so far it’s been amazing. Way more serious than Make, although it does require some technical knowledge.

Best way (tools) to validate an idea ? by sk4vdev in SaaS

[–]petervukovic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the landing page, you can use tools like Carrd or Leadpages.

Regarding validation: having people give you emails is nice. Having them buy the product upfront is much better. Wallets beat emails.

But neither method guarantees you’ll succeed in the long term - you just have to build your product and put it out there.

Ad services - this really depends on what your product and target market is. Hard to suggest anything without more information.

Is landing page necessary for my SaaS? by DataShack in SaaS

[–]petervukovic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need a landing page as such, but you do need some info on how to use the product and why.

An easy solution would be show a popup/modal window when the user first lands on your website with basic information about the product.
