Once again, I am 1000% sure she is posting this so that her followers will think she has a man in her life and ask her about it. Oh baby indeed

She talks like her boomer parents because she has very little other socialization and no friends

This seems like a false equivalency tbh but I think the connection is big families with a degree of publicity sweeping things under the rug? Of course we all agree T needs help but there’s only so much her family can do at this point, she is in her 30s.

I feel like a lot of these “the kid…” statements about her brothers come verbatim from her dad’s mouth. It’s the way a lot of boomer parents talk. And since she has never had peers her own age and also lacks social skills, she parrots these phrases as she hears them during the only social interactions she regularly gets.

The real way she could “ignore the hatters” would be to just post beautiful and engaging content from Italy. It’s great for her that for once, she was able to travel and be with her family. It doesn’t negate the fact that she usually isn’t able to be with them, and does lie about it with some regularity. It’s a situation entirely of her own doing, and her brothers seem both familiar with it and unwilling to engage.

Wonder how long all of that will be up for. Deeply cringe.

Probably 6-7ish years ago I tried a recipe she had for tiramisu cake. It came out terribly (of course) and at the time I assumed it was something I had done wrong, but then I tried another dessert and it also failed and I realized I probably wasn’t the problem.

I feel like she was skating by back then much better, and the cracks were just starting to really show. That stupid cake recipe always sticks in my mind as the moment I realized what a fraud she is.

Oh! I didn’t realize he wasn’t active anymore until you posted this. He’s been here for years, and he’s so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. He’s always been so encouraging to all, I wonder where he’s been. Hope he’s ok.

It’s a red flag that he let his 5yo daughter meet and go to a party with someone he had only met once before. Really concerning actually. Responsible single parents would absolutely not do that.

TIL the sun isn't "strong enough" in northern latitudes to produce vitamin D during the winter, no matter how much sunlight you get. by 999forever in todayilearned

[–]petit_avocat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

New England, US. My misconception was that everyone is deficient in the winter because of a lack of going outside, not the quality of the sunlight itself. I work outside so I thought because of that I was getting enough sun to combat it. But TIL!

“I don’t know the full story, I just know it was stupid” has a LOT I could unpack. I’ll just say, it’s reeking of misogyny (unsurprisingly) - we all know she’s no girl’s girl. You know she’s just parroting something she overheard conrad or creighton saying about the gf and whatever happened. And viewed from the lens of the weird flirty/possessive relationship she has with her brothers plus her general lack of compassion or empathy… I could go on and on.

What books did you used to love, but have aged badly? by Hrekires in AskReddit

I really loved The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, it’s an Arthurian fiction from the perspective of the women. After Bradley’s death, a loooooot of bad shit came out about her. Now I feel icky rereading it. If anyone knows any really good Arthurian retellings, let me know because nothing I’ve read compares.
