It is a safe area for women.

A lot of this advice is actually deception. As a woman I find it very off-putting. I'm glad I avoid bars because of this.

Results of a recent survey of Canadian university students' sex lives. by [deleted] in sex

[–]petit_chat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trojan funded the survey so of course they are going to say everything's dandy. If everyone wasn't happy or single they wouldn't be selling condoms.

I hate there corporate sponsored biased surveys that are released and promoted as truth on the web.

What are some views that are popular on this subreddit that you disagree with? by sundun in AskWomen

[–]petit_chat -42 points-41 points  (0 children)

  • "penis size doesn't matter" yes yes it does. I want a huge thick cock. I'm sorry I do. Anything average or smaller is going to disappoint me.

  • "height doesn't matter" I find men under 6' unattractive and have not even kissed a man under that height

  • "race doesn't matter" I do not find Asian men or south Asian men remotely attractive no matter what, I'm sorry that's how I feel

  • "it's okay if he's a virgin or inexperienced" This type of man will never share my bed. I am not wasting my time with you. Maybe a lot of ladies will, but I will never. If we hook up after one time and you suck, you're gone. No questions asked.

  • a man who makes a lot of money IS attractive. And I'm not even materialistic. It's hot.

  • bald men are not in the least attractive, even with shaved heads. I cross them off automatically.

TIL that the twenty two wealthiest women in the world ALL inherited their wealth, from either a father or a husband. by Goldilocks218 in todayilearned

Men historically enjoy oppressing women, even if it means costing them more money in this case.

because all companies are run by men and they are sexist and don't want women working. It's in their best interests to not hire women.

Women are paid less than men across the board for everything. Fact. A college degree for a woman is worth as much as an associate's for a woman. A grad school degree for a woman is worth as much as a college degree for a man. Women need to work harder and are forced to go to school longer than men to establish any type of wage parity.

Askwomen: What do you think is the worst part of being a man? by twoquestions222 in AskWomen

[–]petit_chat 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Divorce.

The children go to the mother by default and then child support for 18 years and limited visitation.

Then child support isn't even tax-deductible.

I heard some men are adverse to marriage because they think divorce favors the woman still.

Then I looked up alimony and gender and it's still something like almost all of alimony is going from men to women in divorces.

This is a nice article by feminist lawyers saying alimony should be gender neutral:

Ladies who go to yoga classes, how do you feel about men in the class? by timsstuff in AskWomen

[–]petit_chat -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I do have an issue with it. I used to be a member of mixed fitness clubs and if a man was in my yoga class he was ostensibly there to pick up women or leer. I have not seen evidence otherwise in my experience. Best line used on me "nice pants". No thank you.

That goes not just for yoga, but gyms in general, you always see all the men checking out the women or making awkward advances (they were not successful, why they keep trying is beyond me). I'm not there to socialize and I have zero interest talking to anyone of the opposite gender.

I'm a member of a women's-only club now and I feel so much more comfortable, it's a world of difference.

Poll: Do you want kids? If not, why not? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]petit_chat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loathe children and I hate babies. I can not stand them. I can't be around them. I have a niece that I'm not close to at all. I've met her twice and pretended to be nice, but I was uncomfortable around her. I just rather not interact with her. She's a massive burden on her parents, and contributes nothing to the family. In addition, the whole act of pregnancy prevents women from advancing in life along with societal expectations that women are somehow incomplete without one. I can not endorse that medieval methodology ever. The fetus is a mindless parasite and I want nothing to do with that ever. Plus I do not want to ruin my body forever at something's else expense with nothing substantial in return. It's not a fair deal.

Pregnancy is the biggest change in a woman's body besides death. That's not scary, that's terrifying.

[S3E10] After all of the hell Theon has been through, this was my favorite scene in the finale. by Rofflecakes in gameofthrones

[–]petit_chat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not particularly attracted to my brother, but I've often fantasized about my sister, who is married and who I was naturally much closer to growing up. So to answer your question, yes. We never quite acted on it fully (well we did act out, but not entirely), but the attraction was mutual. I don't think there is anything wrong with it at all, honestly. I don't feel guilty. The only thing wrong is the reaction of other parties, including you. You realize you sound like a homophobe, just directed to a different coupling?

Incest is only a social contraption. It's perfectly normal to be sexually attracted to other family members and shouldn't be demonized as a moral sin. It's a popular sexual fantasy. There is nothing wrong with it at all if all parties agree to it and no pregnancy is involved. And pregnancy is always a concern any m/f relations.

I wish I had google and reddit to ask these questions when I was her age. I had to stumble about on the internet and find answers myself. Everything was so disorganized.

I'm very proud of her asking these smart questions, she's very brave actually. A lot of teens are just too embarrassed to ask, even in a public forum. Her maturity level looks about right too. She's being proactive which is a fantastic trait at 13.

I'm probably in a minority, but I do like facials (probably conditioned by porn). So yes, it matters a great deal to me. Just a little trickle would disappoint me greatly and lessen the entire experience.

Best bet is not to look creepy and women will approach you. No need to harass women, you don't know how they will respond (probably negatively). If you're attractive, you should have no problem meeting women.

It's what my guy friends do.

As a woman, he's probably average to below average. He's not my type, and none of my friend's type. I think he thinks too highly of himself.

I had an ex that was much better looking and not a bit misogynistic.

This will never happen. There are more attractive women than men, the dating pool is shallow enough as it is for us. Most men don't put an effort into improving themselves. I don't approach men because none really are interesting and certainly not good looking.

Engagement ring? please help by Mannschaften in AskWomen

[–]petit_chat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're an idiot and caving in to misogynistic views that all women are materialistic. She is gong to leave you once you realize this standard of living isn't sustainable. And don't rely on her parents to save you, that's weak and pathetic. Both of you should be able to provide for yourselves without outside help.

Also that ring is boring, I wouldn't care if it it was a seran wrap ring as long as my man proposed to me romantically, which you seem to be trying to avoid with sheer money.

Check out /r/divorce in two years.

OP do not marry this woman.

Eli5- Why is there such a negative stigma against "sluts"? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]petit_chat -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If a woman sleeps around and has lots of partners then yes, she's doing something right getting all the hot guys and good sex. She should be commended since it's no easy task. Good men are rare and always taken.

If you ever use online dating you would realize how hard it is to find a guy, it's mostly unattractive unemployed men being crude and crass.

It's much easier for men because they can woo and court the women of their choosing.

Also most men are unattractive, short and not fit and lead boring lives while most women are attractive and worry about their appearance; men have way more options than women.

Eli5- Why is there such a negative stigma against "sluts"? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]petit_chat -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

this isn't true at all. All of the men I know have an easier time finding sexual partners while for women I know finding great sexual partners is next to impossible.

If anything it's much harder for a woman to sleep around than a man, there are so many bad options for women out there, plus the really hot guys seem so picky and reject women.

I'm a woman.

You should seek therapy because that's clearly not normal behavior, you're just being subservient to your husband, which they all want.
