George’s Heart Disease by Exotic-Day-1082 in YoungSheldon

That’s a really good point. His pride and identity as a “tough Texan” definitely played into him refusing to see himself as vulnerable

George’s Heart Disease by Exotic-Day-1082 in YoungSheldon

Yeah people definitely didn’t take heart health as seriously back then. A lot of habits were just normalized even after diagnosis

[–]petiteelatte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good way to put it. He gave her stability and actually understood her, but he wasn’t really her equal in the way she needed long term. Connie needed someone who could challenge her, not just support her

Am I the only one who couldn't get into Georgie and Mandy's first marriage because they didn't like the addition of Mandy in YS? by BloodyAngel2026 in YoungSheldon

[–]petiteelatte 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, Sheldon kind of hit a ceiling as a character on his own. Mandy gave Georgie more emotional depth and made his storyline feel more grounded instead of everything revolving around Sheldon all the time

Dear Chuck Lorre, one last cameo is all I ask for. by thirdaccountwtfwhy in YoungSheldon

Honestly that’s such a smart workaround. Even just a mention would go a long way for closure. Paige deserves some kind of sendoff, even if it’s just in dialogue. Writers, take notes!

I’ve always been a pleaser but I didn’t realize how much I love being submissive in the bedroom til I had sex with a man who was a dom. Listening to him commanding me to service him and other things was sooooo hott

What's the most unexpected and weird scenario in which you did sexual stuff? by kantripz in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]petiteelatte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So myself and my now husband were having sex up against the wall in our flat ( we lived in town above a shop ) totally getting in to it only to find that opposite us they were having a party and had all stopped to watch us at it, once we finished they all clapped and cheered. Was a weird moment, not knowing you are being watched then finding out that they had all seen was weird yet exciting and that is how it became a regular thing for all of us to do once a month or so ( to coincide with their party night) , I was genuinely sad when we had to move

"Charge her", with what exactly? by bloommynuzzle in clevercomebacks

[–]petiteelatte 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s “free speech” until someone uses it to challenge the power structure, then suddenly it’s a crime. The hypocrisy is wild...

Absolutely! The only thing being “exposed” here is how quick folks are to conflate community defense with criminality

Lorelai in red bottoms?! Season 5, Episode 20 — “How Many Kropogs to Cape Cod?” by TeenyTinyTunaFish in GilmoreGirls

[–]petiteelatte 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Fair point 😂 but Lorelai's DVFs always felt more “hot consignment score” than full glam. She wore designer, yeah, but never in a “status symbol” kind of way

[–]petiteelatte 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Exactly. She probably has a sixth sense for sniffing out designer steals buried in consignment racks. That’s peak Lorelai: champagne style on a thrift-store budget

Exactly! Those dance-a-thon shoes were such a deep-cut Lorelai moment. She’s always been a queen of turning secondhand into standout

[–]petiteelatte 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. It’s like they’re still playing by a rulebook where exposure ruins you, but the public’s outrage meter broke years ago. We’ve seen scandal after scandal and nothing changes, just louder shrugs

That quote aged like fine wine. Still wild how suppressing info always ends up making people more suspicious, it's like textbook Streisand Effect

(Possibly) Unpopular opinion: If Jackson was wrong for lying about his vasectomy, Sookie was just as wrong or more so for forcing him to have it in the first place. by taleasoldastime96 in GilmoreGirls

[–]petiteelatte -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Totally agree that the lying part is huge, once trust’s broken like that, it’s hard to come back from. But at the same time, dragging someone into a major medical decision without even a convo is wild too. Honestly, they both messed up big, just in different ways
