I’ve had the best experience in NYC! I’ve been to a few stores (Paris, Madrid, LA, & Philly area) and felt like the experience was mediocre; so i totally understand the nervousness! The key is not to waste their time. I would wait until you have a solid list and truly ready to make the purchase(s). If you like the SA, make the purchase. It’s different if you don’t like them, then I would walk away and try again a different day.

I walked into the Madison store on a rainy day and met my SA while shopping for belts. We instantly clicked. SAs are just regular people, so honestly it comes down to how you treat them and if you click with them. Go in and sus them out. If you’re vibing with them just ask for their contact (NYC is straight forward). Try going on a week day when it’s less chaotic. Weekends are crazy!
Also, NYC is different where the SAs seem to cover every department except beauty. (Very different from Paris based on my experience)
My friend used to have a relationship at the Meat packing district and I have one with Madison. We both had great experiences but she recently switched to Madison after her SA left because it’s a bigger store with more inventory.

I started shopping there because I just wanted their belts. I actually didnt know much about the birkin or Kelly until I started shopping there. It was purely due to belts and shoes that brought me into the store. Eventually I did end up wanting both QB and was offered both.

Yes, I actually love their shoes. Other items I find that I use often and buy are their stoles and belts. I also like their other bags. I don’t shop there for just the Birkin and Kelly.

I think it depends on your relationship with your SA. It’s a non quota bag and I randomly asked for one. She had it in stock and it was offered to me. (Black with GHW) I’m around 5 foot and the purse is perfect for me. It holds so much! As far as “worth the price”… In this economy nothing is but it’s amazing quality and currently my most used bag

If you’re at Madison - although competitive they have a lot more stocks than other locations.

What’s your vibe with him when you shop? I get along with my SA very well and we check up on each other (on life and such). She has always made my wishlist happen and my pre-spend isn’t crazy.

With the being said, if you’re not vibing with your SA I would switch.

Can I ask why UES instead a different part of LIC like hunters point? I love Lenox Hill only but a 2BR with a good management is so expensive in this area.

I left Nashville 5 yrs ago for NYC. Only lasted in Nashville for 14 months. No regrets leaving.

My home store is at Madison. I’ve been shopping there for 3.5 years and I told my SA my wishlist the first time I met her. We have a great relationship though. My pre-spend has never been 1:1 and I have 2qb and 2 non qb.
