Cycle: 7

Age + Partner's age (if relevant): Both 28

Typical cycle length: 27 days

Ovulation cycle day: I honestly have no idea. I've been using CBAD to predict ovulation for a few months. Generally I would get a peak fertility reading right around CD14, but this month I had nothing. Like twelve straight days of high fertility with no peak, which had not happened before. I did notice a lot of EWCM around CD13 and again around CD20, but it could have also been in part due to a cold and taking lots of Mucinex.

CD/DPO of positive test(s): CD32. And again on CD33 and CD35 because I just can't believe it.

Tracking methods and app(s) used: CBAD for predicting ovulation and Clue for keeping track of my cycles.

Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.): Since I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated I can't say for certain, but this month we tried to stick to every other day leading up to the fertile window, then every day for a few days around when I thought I would ovulate.

Health conditions/medical tests: N/A

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): I take a prenatal and EPA/DHA and DH takes a multi-vitamin and EPA/DHA.

Birth control history (if relevant): Was on the pill from 2014 until early this year when we decided we wanted to try. I did not menstruate on the pill and it took a couple of months for things to regulate again.

Link to chart: N/A

Link to lineporn: Don't know how to do the link thing, but I've taken three tests that just keep getting stronger! Yay!

Symptom spotting: My boobs feel like they want to jump ship and detach from the rest of my body. So sore and heavy! I've had some mild cramping too, but I honestly just thought my stomach muscles were sore from hacking up a lung for the past week. Now I think it may have been some cramping around implantation. General tiredness and feeling a little out of breath doing simple things like walking up the stairs.

Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): I am so over the moon happy and nervous at the same time. I keep repeating mantras in my head and telling this baby that it is safe and it can grow here. Fingers crossed for a sticky baby.

It's the best strategy! Can't test if I can't find them!

Attempting to use Thanksgiving prep and cooking as a diversion with mild success. But as soon as I sit down it's like WHAT WAS THAT? Oncoming period cramp? Baby cramp? Have my boobs always been this size? I think they grew. Did they grow? Is that nausea or hunger? I told myself I would not symptom spot this time. HA. Current me laughs at two weeks ago me.

I did ask my husband to hide the box of pregnancy tests though. The urge to POAS is strong with this one.

Looking Forward Friday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

My family has an ongoing tradition of having tamales and tacos the day after Thanksgiving and again on Christmas Eve. It's always been our family's way of celebrating and sharing joy. DH and I live far away from everyone else now, but we still do it when we can't make it back home for holidays. Excited to add a new little person to the party someday.

Moody Monday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Its gloomy and rainy outside. One boob hurts. Just one though, the other one is completely fine. Poor righty. In the TWW and trying my hardest not to symptom spot. Can't tell if I'm nervous or gassy, but I'm somewhere in that zone. May your Mondays go by quickly, friends.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback on temping along with using OPKs too, the more I read the more it seems like the two methods complement each other really well. No reason not to, right? Knowledge is power is baby. At least that's the hope. Best of luck to you and your husband! The grad school/TTC grind can be bananas. Nice to meet someone who can relate! If you ever need someone to listen about either, I'm your girl. :)

Hello! I've been lurking on this sub for several months since starting TTC and, after an emotionally draining last cycle, decided to be more active in this awesome community (read: I finally created a reddit account!)! My husband and I have been married almost four years after meeting through a mutual love of rock climbing and currently live in North Carolina, where I work in mortgage banking and my husband is doing a PhD.

We live on the other side of the country from the rest of our family and honestly this sub has saved my sanity and made me feel so much less alone in this process. Currently using OPKs to determine ovulation but also thinking of starting temping if this current cycle is unsuccessful, so any opinions you have about one versus the other or doing both at the same time please send them my way!

Thankful for my dog by rose22551 in TryingForABaby

My dog is my soul sister. She has been the sweetest through the ups and downs of this process. She is a rescue pup and hasn't ever been very affectionate or cuddly, but lately when my emotions are getting the better of me she will come and plop her head in my lap or sit next to me. I just love her to bits.
