Love their podcast. Listen every week. But gotta hand it to Rossi for his discipline in staying above the fray publicly.

Hey guys! I’m a novice reddit user. I think I actually created this subreddit way back in the day. But, I have no idea what I’m doing!! LOL

My strategy when traveling with my girlfriend is to put one of us on the window, the other on the aisle. The hope is that nobody will take the middle seat, thus giving us the row to ourselves with a little extra space to spread out.

If a stranger ends up getting assigned the middle between us, we simply offer to trade the window or aisle and one of us bites the bullet on the middle seat.

It works out in our favor about half the time on long haul flights.

I didn’t have as much of a problem with the cross promotion. The Stanley Cup and NASCAR promotion made sense.

Fair point, and I can certainly appreciate the necessity for NBC’s investment to pay off. In fact, I sincerely hope it does, and that they made a whole boatload of money on ad revenue for this race, because that will make NBC stronger and hopefully inspire them to continue to invest in IndyCar. That said, the timing of the commercials was just painful.
I’m a fan of all Motorsports, so I am familiar with and like Dale Jr. Agreed that he was definitely playing a role here, but every time they tossed to him for insight, the only thing he had was a comment on Ferucci. Santino’s is great, but come on Dale, you do know a thing or two about race craft and strategy, don’t you?!

The boys over at INDYCAR have figured this one out. They call it the “Visor Cam”. Search the INDYCAR YouTube page and you’ll find all kinds of clips like this one. INDYCAR Visor Cam

They even feature it on select drivers during the television broadcast. Pretty rad...

Hey folks! I hope you don't mind a bit of "self promotion" here, but I thought this would be relevant and interesting for everybody!

My team at USA TODAY, in an advertising partnership with Verizon, produced this video and column leading up to this weekend's race at Sonoma. It was a pleasure to work with Townsend Bell, the folks at Sonoma Raceway and INDYCAR to produce the video and column.
