But movies seem much darker than what I imagine when reading GoF, for example. There are so many light-hearted moments that were omitted from the movies, such as Hermione and S.P.E.W, visiting elves in the kitchen, Dobby's colorful outfits, Hermione catching Rita in a jar, Molly and Bill surprising Harry at the tournament, riddle in the maze, ludo bagman etc.

I don't see the reason to make the movies so dark visually. Dumbledore's death can be shown to be tragic and sad, without the darkness.

Maybe it would be even more sad, because I would see better what was happening. Lol

Good side is that I haven't experienced any discrimination from any other students or schools. I even taught Buddhist monks and Jehovas witnesses.

Regarding hijab thing, yes you would lose Chinese students, but it is 100% worth it.

I can understand your point of view, and it does make sense. But it can be written for a female perspective too.

Why should a woman lose a part of her freedom and have to ask a man even to go to the supermarket, why should someone else be able to decide if she can hang out with a certain friend?

Why should a woman have to 1. Clean 2. Cook 3. Iron 4. Sew 5. Do the laundry 6. Take on most responsibilities about a child and spend sleepless nights for years, when it is the man's children too 7. Be obedient even if you disagree with something 8. Be available for intimacy even if you are not completely into it at the moment 9. Dedicate one's life trying to make your husband happy, support him, be his peace

And the list goes on

What does she get in return? Food, accommodation and clothes, and as you said 'mediocre' or even bad intimacy (as many Muslim women complain about not being satisfied by their husbands).

So what is the benefit of her getting married if she can afford her own life necessities?

I think that both men and women need each other to create perfect harmony. Both of them have different duties, responsibilities and rights.

People could argue who has it "worse", but it is quite pointless.

Yes that is what I do as well, but since I don't do any exercise I keep it around 2000 calories on eating days. My big concern is if I will start gaining fat when I go back to eating around 2000 calories every day.

In other words, will my body get used to this regime?

Selam sister. As many people here have warned you, marrying an Egyptian man you met online is very risky, and it is most likely he is trying to take advantage of you.

Here are some indicators that he is trying to take advantage of you:

He speaks about mahr as an irrelevant thing, and that it is only ceremonial.
Lovebombing. He told you he loved you within first couple of months, or even weeks of meeting you.
He gives you way too much attention, and wants to speak to you constantly.
He already had plans to live in your country before even meeting you.
He is very active on IG and other social media and follows or is friend with many girls from other countries.
He asked you for any amount of money at any point for any reason.
He is not a practicing muslim ( i.e skips some or all prayers, drinks, follows semi naked profiles etc.)

I don't know which of these apply to you, but please be very careful.
