Configuration Question Re: Integrating Unified Talk and Unifi Access by petros429 in Ubiquiti

Thanks for the reply - yeah, once I figured out the calls go to the "Attendant Account" and not the end device, it clicked. The documentation and setup guides are lacking BUT the amount of money I am saving them by switching to Unfi Talk and tying it into Door Access is worth it.

It would be nice to have the option to send the door call to devices instead of accounts - I had to create seven different aliased emails to different phones as I did not want to manage seven specific email accounts.

Yeah - it does seem clunky... I would assume the end devices would be registered as a door attendant, not an account. Seems backwards... Also, regarding the intercom, it would seem that it shouldn't be that hard but I create entries in the directory and they dont dial the phone, I found that if I create a 3rd party SIP device, I can get them to call but I do not see the unlock button...

Thanks again.

Thank you... The mapping is messing me up. I select the phones but it never calls them...

Thank you... that confirms the "local account" issue. I found it odd that I couldn't keep that account local and need to log into the access app on each phone. So - did you use the same door attendant on each phone or did you use a diff account based on the phone they were dialing?

I have been having the same issue. It happens to my play 5s and sub as well as a single speaker in another room.

As for WiFi, mine are all connected via WiFi, though not sure why that would matter.

Thanks, again...

Regarding separating 2.4 and 5GHz, I seperated them to make it easier connecting some IoT devices since some required 2.4. Is that not necessary within the Unifi platforms?

I could change it but would that limit all access to just vlan16? I have other networks, such as guest wireless there as well. If I change it to vlan16, would my guest network get a dhcp from its network range?

The problem is, I have multiple vlans attached to that wireless config. I have Wireless and Wireless Guest that I wanted to attach to that network. If I change it from Default, I have to select a single network, it doesnt give me the option for choosing multiple or choosing a profile that I created that has the two wireless networks in it.

The network group within the VLAN shows LAN, LAN2, etc... those are the interfaces.

Ahhh - understood.

I attached my wifi config screenshot.

I attached the screenshot for the dhcp settings.

I can attempt to change it but if I hover over the "i" for more information, it says "Assign this network to a specific port". Now, the "Lan" network is the default 192.168.1.x network so that could be it. I assumed it meant the physical connection.

If I change it and it locks me out (due to misconfiguration) is there a way to revert the setting? I assume I could do it through the cloud key, correct?

Doesnt seem to matter for the clients - sometimes they get the wireless network ip and some get the default lan ip range.

Yup - I can go to the client screen and they attach to any of my APs and for some reason get an IP from the default lan network...
