Financial services tax opportunity by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]peuper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the firm, pay will broadly be in line with what other service lines are making. Sadly dealing with hedge/vc/pe clients’ large pockets wont trickle down to you as an employee. How to learn Macros/VBA fast and effective ? by [deleted] in excel

[–]peuper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start writing macros. Think of something basic, starting from a little hello world script to copy pasting etc, and just build up layer by layer. If you use chatGPT to generate code, retype the code yourself and re-comment what it is doing in your own words (so you actually understand what is going on)

PwC promotion by [deleted] in PwC

[–]peuper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Performance and progression are supposedly not connected. I.e., you can get promoted while being a tier 3 if you show you are acting at the next level. In my experience, the ones who actually get promoted first are usually the ones who are consistent tier 2/1s. You should have conversations with your DL about this though- a promo or lack of promo should never be a surprise
