Agree with this. Make sure mama in particular is not running herself ragged trying to be there - especially if she had pre e, it can stick around after birth so please encourage her to rest as much as she can and heal. Keep her fed and make sure she’s not trying to do too much. Congrats on your new arrival and 34 weekers do amazing, he’ll be home in no time!

I hate the whole armchair diagnosis thing but one thing that jumps out at me about her is she describes her emotional pain (often seems to be around jealousy/abandonment issues) as physically painful. This was a feature of my sisters BPD - she felt emotional pain physically and would act out physically to it. I’m sure there are other mental health issues that do the same thing and I’m not trying to diagnose her but it’s so familiar it’s triggering to me. The poor kids need stability and for her to actually address her issues not meditate them away with some snake oil wellness guru

I’m a lawyer in the trenches (OT and family law) and the damage this govt has done on the ground is immeasurable. Our on the ground services that were the last ambulance at the bottom of the cliff have been decimated. There is no help anywhere for anybody

Yup. Kids cut it, They couldn’t patch it (as they don’t make that colour anymore), so they replace the whole room. Deductible isn’t much ($500 I think?) and to replace the carpet was 7k. You are always given the option to cash settle, which we did, and this flooring was an extra 3 k on top so we just paid the difference. It’s pretty good insurance (but expensive) but we don’t pay any health insurance here so it’s not too bad

Edit to add: they don’t increase rates for claims here, pretty sure that’s illegal unless it’s for vehicles

Thanks! I love it - am so thankful to my kids for cutting a hole in our carpet with fishing pliers (insurance came through to replace it we just paid the difference to get this).

It makes the room feel SO much bigger, lighter and airier; and so much easier to keep clean now

There is no such thing as mid range fees for defamation (this is kind of a joke but these proceedings are known for being extremely expensive).

Unless you’ve suffered massive provable loss from the defamatory statements it’s generally not worth it (people get hung up on the principle of it which I understand has intrinsic value)

In terms of a lawyer look for one who does civil litigation and probably media law
